When will the Pleurisey go????

I was diagnosed three years ago with Pleurisey x 2 times - one after the other. This was following having had the flu jab and contracting the first episode exactly two weeks later. I had a xray to check if I had lung cancer as I smoked back then. I stopped smoking immediately. I became ill in December 18 and was diagnosed with pneumonia in January. I am still under QMC care and even though the fluid has abated some following a needle, I still have pleurisey fluid???
