Any thoughts on having flu jab with hypothyroidism and fibromyalgia
Please ...
I actually had it for the first time last year and I felt fine afterwards and did not have any problems.
This question gets asked by someone every year
You will find replies for and against having the flu jab, it has to be a personal decision.
Have a read through some replies from previous years, it might help you make your mind up.

Personally I wont have it despite being in more than one risk group (I also have lung disease). I prefer to boost my immune system as much as possible, take homeopathic flu prevention during the winter months and take precautions such as hand washing, wearing gloves so that I don't pick up germs from supermarket trolley handles, door handles, avoiding people with infection, etc. I've never had the flu.

Like fixit, my husband and I, after being very undecided, had the flu jab for the first time last year. We had no problems at all. I have had flu twice in my life and was really very ill indeed. We will be having the jab again this year.
The risk of catching flu depends a lot on your lifestyle. As Susie says there are a lot of precautions you can take to reduce your risk but I travel a lot on buses, trams and trains and this, I think, puts me at an increased risk.
Hope you reach the right decision for you.
Best wishes

I always have it and fingers crossed, have had no problems. It seems to boost my immunity generally, though unsure how this could be. If I have it, I barely get a cold let alone flu.
