Scared and upset!
They gave me
heparin
and I am now on warfarin and they tell me I'm safe. I then had an episode in A&E the day before New Year's Eve and that really freaked me out.

Evidence for Clopidogrel as well as Wafarin
I think that as INR will not seem to go up despite ever increasing Wafarin dose they are going to suggest
Heparin
(have needle phobia).

LAS-is it hughes syndrome?
All that was said was i needed to stay in range and was given
heparin
injections to be taken if my inr fell below 2. I asked the registrar if there were any support groups and she said no.

It's official.....
I once told her that my INR was well below 2 and this was worrying, she didn't really understand why this was an issue, a couple days later I had frantic phone calls from her as she had spoken to my consultant who was very worried about this and wanted me to have
heparin
injections if it was still low

Strep b meningitis
My daughter was 5 week old on 23/6/12when she had strep b meningitis. In the evening she was very restless and started vomiting and rolling back. We took her to A & E and they just grabbed her away from us and started giving her antibiotics and her lumber puncture. She spend one day at royal Berkshire

Desperate, Can You Help Me?
I tried to talk to him about
Heparin
or Xarelta, and he said they are not approved by FDA for APS. I said neither is Coumadin and of course he became angry. Also had to fire my gp, he just kept repeating “aps does not cause those symptoms” and urging me to see a psychiatrist.

How often do we need bone scans if we are taking Low Molecular Weight Heparin ?
Also have any of you had significant bone loss. I take the calcium tablets that have Ben subscribed. I haven't been to see my consultant in London for a couple of years mainly because of the cost. I will go later this year though. I could get gp to refer me for dexa scan before then if I should be

I am wondering about long term effects of Group B Strep
My son was born on April 4, 2013. He seemed totally normal and healthy. Within hours he was grunting, crying and wouldn't latch. He was evaluated and admitted to the NICU. The GBS culture grew positive in 8 hours (this is crazy to me because he is my 3rd child and every GBS test I received with each

Is it worth me asking for a trial of heparin?
I'm seeing Prof K a week on Friday and was wondering whether he would consider alternatives,
heparin
maybe, or whether this is something I just have to put up with.

Just been diagnosed.
My story is that in February this year, 2013 I experienced a full feeling in my ear and some loss of hearing. After suffering from excesive ear wax in previous years I thought that may have been the problem. It wasn't. Soon after the hearing loss I noticed a lack of balance, generally feeling 'tipsy

Any success stories out there? Newly diagnosed.
I also had thrombophlebitis during the pregnancy too that was treated with
heparin
. Sadly I also needed aspirin as this apparently crosses the placenta so will need that in future pregnancies as well. Last weekend I woke up with visual disturbance.

Trying for another baby
I had
Heparin
injections daily and a 75g aspirin but he still had to be delivered early. I am overweight and I know that losing weight will hopefully help and we have been told that they would give me a higher dose of
heparin
. thoughts welcomed....

We won't be defeated yet...
We went to my sons routine hearing test today due to the meningococcal meningitis that he had and the results weren't as good as I hoped, my son has glue ear in both ears and has to go back in 3months to see if his hearing has improved if not he will be refereed. Has anyone had hearing loss/problems

What to expect?
The idea that maybe the headpain might be reduced by
heparin
is one that I cling to, as right now it's my only hope of relief. I normally take a list of symptoms with me, but have seen people mention on here a kind of brief history/meds/specialists which I plan to get written up shortly.

GP who does not agree with Prof Hughes.
The Prof wants a 2 week trial of
heparin
as plavix has not helped. GP does not understand APS and as the prof has not written that he is sure it is APS then GP is worried. Says have to ask all GPs in practice if they agree to giving
heparin
as NICE do not prescribe it for APS.
