Not exactly ‘in the pink’
Hello everyone. Are there any people out there, that cough up pinkish phlegm. It’s only after lying down for 2 or 3 hours. I’m not quite sure if I’m starting to develop heart failure. I’ve been taking anticoagulants since 2014 and changed onto Apixaban about 16 months ago. Thanks in advance.

new to this forum
hello to everyone from New Mexico, US. I am finding out more about heart issues here on this forum than from my EP and cardiologist combined! Thank you all. I am 69 and had one of the first open heart surgeries done in Los Angeles at 9 years. ( for an ASD) There is still a small leak but mostly corrected

How can I manage persistent AF
I am in UK and have had paroxysmal AF for a few years and was prescribed Flecainide and Bisoprolol but also had a Pacemaker fitted in July 2020 because of a low resting heart rate (normally 50 but loop recorder showed some drop to mid 30s overnight). Any periods of AF I’ve had up to now have been 5/

Mitral Valve Clip
I was recently diagnosed with severe regurgitation of my Tricuspid Valve amongst other things. My Cardiologist is referring me to a team of specialists to see if I would be better to have open heart surgery or the Mitral Valve Clip procedure. I was wondering if anyone has any knowledge or experience

Change from Apaxiban to Edoxaban?
Surgery rang this Saturday(!) afternoon. Asked whether I would agree to switch from to Edoxaban. Over 4 years I have not had any side effects from Apixaban nor have tests revealed any problems. Has anyone made this switch? Also, the nurse said the advantage was that I would only take one pill, instead

Dental extraction.
My question is regarding dental extraction. At the end of this month, I am due to have four dental extractions: Two stumps (it’s a long story); the root of a crown which came off recently and where there is insufficient root left to re-join the crown; and a leaking abscess which appeared the day before

Interaction of Parkinson’s meds with heart meds
I take Ritary, Azilect and carb/lev and had heart valve replacement surgery at the end of August. Lots of side effects including hallucinations. Haven’t found much history on this but hear it common with PWP’s.. Mogul 1

It's A Wonderful Life!
My wife and I took advantage of some unseasonable sunshine today and went for a walk along the coast here in Hampshire. As we walked I was struck by just how much my life has changed since I had bypass surgery five years ago. This walk features some challenging climbs up and down from the cliffs, and

Pacemaker
I had a pace and ablate July 2021 which has gone well as back to my normal activity prior to being diagnosed with AF. Left Atrial Shunt
I have had AF for 9 years. I currently take Bisoprolol and Apixaban. I have had two ablations, neither of which stopped the AF. However the second ablation in 2019 left an Atrial septum defect I.e. a hole between the two atria which apparently causes a left atrial shunt. The arrhythmia nurse who I saw

struggling with neck pain :( help pls!
I first was diagnosed with fibromyalgia back in 2020 when I started having aches and pains in neck shoulders feeling tired all the time, funny heads as I used to call them, memory issues, stressed all the time and really deflated about everything. I could never relax and always overthink everything.
