Experience at Papworth and Barts
Hello everyone, I will be having mitral valve replacement at some point… I’ve got to have an angiogram next week and then discuss hospitals with my Cardiologist. He mentioned Papworth and Bart’s, does anyone have any experience in either of these two for heart surgery? He said Bart’s might have a shorter

Mammogram appointment - will it hurt?
I am now 8 months post mitral valve repair via open heart surgery. Everything has healed well but the thought of the mammogram is making me shudder. Anyone out there had one so recently after surgery? Thank you.

Millions invited to take part in UK scheme to diagnose diseases earlier
I'm posting this for information - not to promote the project. As I see it, each of us has to decide for ourselves. But if you don't know it exists, you don't have that choice. There is a Guardian article and the project's own website. [i]

Liver Transplant consent letter & liver types
hi, my partner has just been accepted onto the transplant list with a UKELD of 56 and blood group A (this is relevant as have been told the wait for this group is shorter). He has just had the consent form and agonised for ages over which boxes to tick in terms of what livers to accept. It seems so ungrateful
