how do you cope with waiting for heart surgery?
I was told I would need a new aortic valve nearly nine months ago. I know it will happen eventually but I’m getting fed up of feeling fairly lousy (I’m in heart failure) and the waiting. How do you keep yourself from getting too miserable? I feel as though my life is on hold as is my family’s.

Usual warning with consent form etc. Woke up after procedure and told earthing went well. I had to lay still to stop

Experience at Papworth and Barts
Hello everyone, I will be having mitral valve replacement at some point… I’ve got to have an angiogram next week and then discuss hospitals with my Cardiologist. He mentioned Papworth and Bart’s, does anyone have any experience in either of these two for heart surgery? He said Bart’s might have a shorter

Mammogram appointment - will it hurt?
I am now 8 months post mitral valve repair via open heart surgery. Everything has healed well but the thought of the mammogram is making me shudder. Anyone out there had one so recently after surgery? Thank you.

When to take your medication?
"PROFESSOR RUSSELL FOSTER reveals how well vaccines and everyday pills work can be influenced by your body clock" "Statins? Check the type you're on Another risk factor for a heart attack and stroke is increased blood cholesterol. Statins can lower levels of ‘bad’ cholesterol by slowing down its production
