Spinal Stenosis
I was then diagnosed with Chronic
Heart
Disease and underwent a Triple
Bypass
and Mitral Valve Repair. (I’ve also now been diagnosed with
Heart
Failure) When I next saw the back Consultant he said there was no point in further back surgery as more new scar tissue would form each time.

Heart Transplant
Has anyone else with Cardiomyopathy been told that their only option left is a Heart Transplant? Just received this info from Hospital 4 days ago and it's left me feeling so numb. Is anyone else going through this.

Hanging on one day at a time
The last few months have been such a roller coaster! In the past month alone my husband has had surgery for a kidney stone and a few days ago he had a gastric bypass. Soon he will need to have surgery to replace a disc in his neck. His spinal cord is compressed and the longer he waits the more function

Pain in stomach after running
I could google it but I’d probably read that I’d need a triple
heart
bypass
or something... the last two times I’ve been running, after an hour or two, I seem to get a pain in my stomach on the left hand side, which lasts into the night.

I've just got over 6 years of mam having
heart

heart
bypass
in the summer. I'm trying to stay positive for dad and talk things through when he wants too. How do you cope with the anxiety waiting for the phone to say he unwell again? Thanks for reading ❤

Peak flow readings
Good morning all. I’ve recently been diagnosed with Heart Failure and I’ve been asked to use a peak flow meter to check my lungs. Over the last week my average is around 575 (I’m a 6ft - 68 years old- male). I think this is ok and shows my breathlessness is caused by my Heart Failure. My question is

Where do I go from here? Afib or arythmia any difference?
Editing my post as no replies.Never known this but maybe too muddled. Until 31st of January I had Paroxysmal AF with only 2 attacks in 18 months. This changed from 31st January. At first a typical afib attack .Feeling faint, dizziness, unable to walk around the house without being breathless. This

Recommendations to stop feeling sick with heart failure?
Still waiting for the final part of node ablation and switching on of CRT device. Implanted 8 weeks ago and still no news of the next bit. Rang hospital today and they could not tell me anything. Just got to keep waiting. Even though the EP casually said just give me a ring if you feel unwell and I’ll

Pain, Pain and More Pain
I am usually pretty upbeat. After both my bypass and amputation I could see improvement if not on a daily basis definitely as the weeks passed. However 2021 has been much more of a struggle. In the background some will know I am having stump and housing issues. Since shortly after the amputation I have

Long-term Flecainide for atrial tachycardia
Well, my pulse rate is mostly regular now. The strange thing is, I can still feel it doing the occasional somersault and palpitations, even though the pulse remains regular. Anyone else had this?

Return to Afib with a vengeance
Had two ablations the last one September 2020. Have taken Apixaban and 1.25mg Bisoprolol after reduction from 2.5mg. About December/January i stopped taking any Bisoprolol and after maybe 6/8 weeks I noticed when taking my BP I missed a heart beat every 30 or so. Instead of discussing with the Cardiologist

Minimal Invasive Aortic Valve Replacement
I had Minimal Invasive Aortic Valve Replacement 3 weeks ago as I had a bicuspid valve. I am at home 2 weeks now and having a lot of difficulty sleeping. Is this normal? I am quite anxious as I get pain in my chest and start to imagine all sorts. Minimal invasive is far less traumatic than open heart

bypass surgery
Hi, I’ve got my bypass surgery done on 1/12/2020 and it’s some heavy kind of feeling but it doesn’t hurt. I was just wondering if it’s normal or what to do about it. Please do let me know, Thank you.

Dr FREI REUSABLE MASK WITH VALVE - RECALL.
My wife has just had a fascinating morning with Amazon as we received 6 e mails yesterday asking for these to be returned as it has been found they only have 5% instead of 95% efficacy as found in Iceland - the country not the shop. I just want to let you know that you can contact Amazon customer services
