Exercise induced AF - a few months on
Afternoon all, Thought I'd share my experiences of navigating my way through PAF so far. My history is in a previous post - 4 experiences of high HR / AF during big efforts over the last 12 months, but seemed to be getting more frequent. No issues reverting to NSR. Cardiologist driven testing - I've

Post ablation 2 weeks
Ablation 2 weeks ago at NNUH and by the app FibriCheck I have monitored AF since. Heart rate up to 119 just sitting still and pre ablation was 65-75. My GP took an ECG today and agreed I’m in AF but will refer me back to the hospital as my follow up appointment isn't booked until January. They said I

A letter has finally arrived! Trigeminy?!
Well, the ECG was on the 8/9 & the letter was dictated on the 30/9. It was then typed on the 5/10 & has arrived today. Ventricular bigeminy but the letter says trigeminy too?! Which appears to be an electrical issue with my heart? One consultant is more concerned with the electrical side of cardiology

My
HCG
has never been over 115, this time it went over 3000. I've never seen anything on a scan, this time I saw not one but two sacs so we did something right.

Awaiting diagnosis of Heart Failure
My husband had a Mitral and Tricuspid Valve repair in June 2020, however his AF could not be treated as it had been happening for too long (they discovered the valve problems because AF was found on an ECG some 18 months prior to the operation). He has been struggling with his breathing for some months

svt condition asking for information
I was diagnosed 8 years ago with Supraventricular tachycardia (svt). Had ecg, heart monitoring and a test at the hospital. Nothing was found on all three tests but the doctor said I have svt. And that’s it I haven’t been offered any other help just deal with it myself with breathing, drinking cold water

World’s 1st saliva pregnancy test by Israeli startup to hit shelves next year
Like many urine-based tests, Salignostics’ saliva test can be taken on the first day of a missed period to detect the presence of the pregnancy hormone β-
hCG
(Human Chorionic Gonadotropin). A result of two lines likely indicates a pregnancy.

HCG doing weird things - help?!
They were a bit concerned about how long it was taking for the
HCG
to fall, so asked me to repeat pregnancy test 5 days later and if positive still, to go to EPU. Had bloods at EPU this morning….and they’ve come back higher 🤯
HCG
is now 198 and progesterone is 24 (in normal range for pregnancy).
