hcg 47 @ 10dp5dt … is this the end (again)?

hi everyone, me again. This transfer/pregnancy is my most anxious one yet. With two failed pregnancies before 6 weeks within the last 5-6 months … I’ve been hoping and praying this one would work.

We got our BFP on Monday at 10dp5dt, and had a blood test the same day. Just found out this was at 47 and I’m so disappointed because i was hoping that it would be higher this time around. This would technically be 3 weeks 6 days.

I did another test this morning (12dp5dt) and it does seem darker. And I’ve had my second blood test - results back tmr/friday. I know i just need to wait and see if they’ve doubled… but the 47 result has just really worried me and now I can see a fifth miscarriage slowly looming 😞

that is a very low number to come back if you want me to be honest. But also the test today looks alot darker so that looks positive 😀. Fingers crossed for you xx

My clinic want over 100 at 14dp5dt, so you could easily be within this range if your HCG is doubling like it should. I think that test has darkened nicely. I don't think you are out quite yet. Heaps of luck xx

thanks everyone. Results still not in so likely finding out tmr instead. I’d be annoyed but I’m grateful my GP agreed to do them for me!

I’ve been yo-yoing between feeling resigned that this will be like all the others. And hopeful still that it could work - Monday wS still v early after all. The waiting game is so tough!

i had a HCG of 37 at 10dp5dt, she is now an energetic little toddler. So while the hcg is low, it could work out! Good luck!

Update: STILL no second beta results. So likely Monday now… whole weekend in limbo! I caved and did another test and it looks similar/fainter? But trying not to read too much into it x

crossing my fingers for you. I started in the low 30s and have a lovely little boy to show for it. He just took his time getting comfy in there. It’s so tough riding the beta rollercoaster so do what you need to do to stay sane - I had to put my phone in a drawer. xx

Thanks everyone for your support. I finally got my beta results today for last Wednesday (at 12dp5dt) and they are 76.

My GP didn’t even call me with them he noted ‘no further action’. I’m not entirely sure what this means… it didn’t double in the 45 hrs. But doc doesn’t want to do more tests. So I won’t know if I’m over 100 at 14dp5dt (hopefully if it continued to increase!)

So I now feel stuck in the same place of not knowing whether this is actually going to be successful or not 😞 I haven’t done any home tests either as i was getting too anxious about them so purposely don’t have any in the house!

I HAVE AN UPDATE!! Can’t believe I’m even writing this but my hcg went up to 1191 at 5 weeks. Looking at the chart that’s still the lower side? (200-7000) but it’s higher than I ever got before so I’m taking it for now!

just a small update here for everyone who helped and those looking at this in a similar situation. I just had my viability scan and all was good with a strong heartbeat. As a person with recurrent early loss (always less than 6 weeks) i remain cautious and i know nothing is guaranteed BUT I’m so surprised and happy we’ve made it this far and wanted to share that low hcg doesn’t always mean you’re out yet! Thanks everyone who supported 💙😊
