The Heart Attack that thankfully wasn't
She has since had 4 units of blood + an iron infusion to try and raise her
haemoglobin
levels, if they can't then she will need a full body transfusion. At present there is no guarantee she will be home for Xmas but as I have said it will be what it will be.

B Cell PLL, Ibrutinib, Extreme Fatigue, Low Haemoglobin, Enlarged Spleen
Haemoglobin
dropped to 7.3 and received 500ml packed cells blood. His Haematologist is satisfied with blood but spleen size has again enlarged to 29.6 cm. Is ibrutinib last option for the disease ? And can US made ibrutinib make difference ? Please advise. Aftab Khan Quetta, Pakistan

MF transplant - successful stem cell boost
On day 318 my
haemoglobin
count was 134 and platelet count 58. This is really good news. Essentially I am back on track with your more typical transplant patient, it just took a year longer. Best wishes, Simon

Results after 5th Docetaxel infusion and just started 6th
LDH was little out of the range at 260,
Haemoglobin
continued was 13.0 slightly below range and Monocytes 12.5, which was slightly above range. But Onco was happy with the progress. All other indicators are within range.

Permanent AF for 23 Years
Recovery is good, but suffering badly from anaemia with
haemoglobin
levels at 118/121 g/l. More detailed blood tests seem okay, but GP is referring me to a haematologist to be sure.

Here We Are Again!
Her blood was maintained through many, many transfusions as we battled to keep platelets and
haemoglobin
at a reasonable level while we hoped that the many meds she was on would prompt her immune system to revert to what it once and stop destroying things.
