Haemodialysis and Calcification
The only cure is to put her on intensive
haemodialysis
for 6 days a week, with an injection of drug after each session. This will last for 6 months. Only other alternative is palliative care at home till she passes.

Haemodialysis complications?
Hi All, My mum started
haemodialysis
4 months ago. Everything started really well, we all noticed a great imrovement in her. She was literally shrinking before our eyes as all the fluid was removed, this in turn helped her breathing, appetite, sleeping and mood.

Haemodialysis and blood pressure
I am becoming increasingly confused over the question of blood pressure and how high or low it can be. Before my husband went on to dialysis we had been drilled by various consultants on the need to keep his BP in check and, at one time, he was on three different typed of medication. Last year before

Hello - I'm a new boy here. My screen-name is neophyte.
We live in a very small, one and one-half bedroom terraced house and there is no room to accommodate a home
haemodialysis
unit, even if one was available; we don't even have enough storage space anywhere to take the boxes of PD paraphernalia, so it seems my only choice, if choice it can be said to be

Since starting dialysis I've had a tiny appetite?
I'm also not allowed a lot of foods that I liked previously because I'm a
haemodialysis
patient. The doctors etc. aren't concerned because everything (including m weight) is okay but I miss being able to go out and not just order a childs meal or a starter!

How we chose and adjusted to dialysis - it's not the end of the world!
As D had the fistulla we considered
haemodialysis
in hospital but immediately ruled it out due to the time involved and disruption to his working routine and income.
