Dating with Scleroderma
I have had 2 episodes of renal crisis (I'm now on
haemodialysis
), my lungs cant expand fully because my chest is so tight and I have myositis which means I have pretty weak muscles. At the beginning of the year my long term partner and I seperated because of the stress my illness was putting on us.

New to this, but not ESRD
I'm going on almost 22 years (31) living with FSGS, 17 of which has been on dialysis, it has been a long road dealing with all the ups and mostly downs of life with kidney disease. I have pretty much went through and experienced everything one can as a ESRD patient from; transplant, transplant removal

Finally Got The Call
It was time to Start
Haemodialysis
(HD), then my needle phobia reared its head (Another drama🙄). I finally moved home to do Home
Haemodialysis
(HHD) which also had its dramas but I weathered it. I was called in Oct ‘17 but I didn’t get it. I was second choice.

Feeling depressed and despair. Torn between love and being a mother. My dilemma.
He has been doing
haemodialysis
for almost 2 years now. I was 34 and him 36 when we met and for the first 2 years of our relationship we had our freedom, had normality, no dialysis. Things were great and they were the best two years of our lives and I knew he was my forever one.

RESTRICTIONS MAY BE COMING ON HOME DIALYSIS
Those doing any form of Home Hemodialysis may have an issue with the US government paying for more than 3 treatments each week even when prescribed by your nephrologist. I received this information from Home Dialysis Central and copied the link here for those wanting to contact their Senator, Congressperson

Hello Everyone
Hello everyone, My name is Willie (female) and this is my first post. I have been on dialysis since 2013. I have done in-center, PD, and currently home hemo. I feel home hemodialysis is the best way to receive my dialysis treatments because I feel so much better afterward, so normal. I am currently

Nxstage S machine for shorter dialysis time!
Hello fellow dialysis chums, I have heard that the NHS UK have started using the newer version 'S' NxStage dialysis machine for home
haemodialysis
patients... Apparently it can help to cut down the time we spend on dialysis each day with the same results!..... Has anyone else heared this?

I'm new here
I'm an in center hemodialysis patient, I started in Feb. 2016. I was in dialysis briefly in 2007 also, with acute kidney failure, but sadly it looks like it's for good this time. My renal disease is sarcoidosis. I've been on the transplant list for about 2 months, and would love to hear from anyone with

16 yrs CKD, 1 yr PD dialysis and 3 yrs HHD Home Hemodialysis
My name is Bill Murray, but not the famous one, and I reside in Wilmington, Delaware. I was diagnosed with IgA Nephropathy in 1996, which is a Nephrotic syndrome. Given five years until start of dialysis, made it 16 years. Plenty of experience across the board from CKD to ESRD 5D, PD dialysis, HHD Home

Introduction
She is out of hospital now and having
haemodialysis
three times a week. She has chest lines fitted at the moment but these keep clotting preventing good, full period dialysis from happening.

Living kidney donor
Hi everyone, I was a living kidney donor for my husband in 2015. We are both doing great! I am also a R.N. and did home hemodialysis for my husband for a year prior to transplant. I am also a living donor peer mentor for the National Kidney Foundation. Thanks to all you donors and those contemplating

Home Haemodialysis
Hi all, This is my first time on the forum. I'm hoping to learn a bit about the training and equipment required for home dialysis. Specific machines, how long the training takes, how to go about organising training etc? My mum is blind (she's the one dialysing, through a line though, not a fistula)

Dialysis Complications
My husband had Kidney Failure and has been on
Haemodialysis
since 03/2015 . At first he settled into the routine fine , but then got an infection through a cannula which he still had in the base of his neck until his fistula was operating 100% .
