3 Year old Gluten Free Diet?
I had a telephone consultation with the nurse on Friday about my sons Tummy problems. Bloated. Foul smelling stools. He is always telling me his tummy hurts, he wakes in the night crying about his tummy. We have kept a food diary - wheat based products do seem to be the culprit. He is also very tired

Cholesterol and thyroid test results
Following on from my post 4 months ago - my GP agreed to raise my thyroxine dose to 100mcg and see what happened to my cholesterol. I feel a little bit better for the raised levothyroxine but still get very tired in the afternoon and evening (basically only have any energy in the morning) and still

Random question - rosacea and gluten free?
Hi - sorry for the random question, but as this site as been so helpful re- all things thyroid, I thought I would ask! I’ve just started on a gluten free diet and after only a few days my tummy is already so much happier. I also have rosacea on my nose (think Rudolph the red nose reindeer!!). Like

Movicol not working
My 4.5 year old has suffered from constipation since she was 6 months old. She got referred to a paediatrician. We tried disimpaction with movicol in May/June 2019 - 8 sachets a day for 5 weeks. This did not work and we were told to take her to A&E by the paediatrician because he was so concerned about

Gluten or something else?
Hi, I'm new here, but not new to problems with gluten. I was diagnosed gluten intolerant about 10 years ago; my grandmother had coeliacs so I assume it is that - I declined the biopsy test. I've not had any real problems with the gluten free diet and have lived quite happily on that. Very occasionally

Hi Everyone. Just browsing Dr Google and came across an article looking at IBS and gluten intolerance. Have IBS for some years now but has become progressively painful and although I'm not Coeliac I would say I have many symptoms of gluten intolerance. Is there a link ? Looking to try a Gluten free

Watery bathroom trips
Hi all x I have IBS-D which I manage through a gluten free diet and try to avoid certain fodmaps - this has got rid of the cramping etc. However if I don’t take an Imodium weekly, I’ll have watery frequent bowel movements - Even after taking my Imodium I am still able to have a BM each day so that’s

Reintroduction of gluten into my diet and possible iodine deficiency
Hi everyone, Following on from my post about 4 months ago and suggestions made in reply by SlowDragon and Greygoose, I reintroduced gluten into my diet as an experiment after more than two years of being gluten-free. The plan was to see if I felt any different and if my antibodies would go up again -

Gluten free diet
I have been trying to lose some weight since my last afib event two weeks ago. I’ve adopted a gluten free (ish) diet and I’ve managed to lose some weight which is great. However there’s been an unexpected benefit in that my ectopics have reduced significantly. Yes I guess not eating as much helps but

Myo and D Chiro Inositol for Hashimotos
Hi all I’d really appreciate your thoughts. I was diagnosed with Hashimotos around 6 years ago after gradually becoming very unwell with Hypo symptoms. Two years ago I found out the Hashimotos had destroyed my ovarian reserve and after a number of false starts and two rounds of IVF my consultant advised

Hello, fellow sufferers. Just wanted to put up a positive post for once. I came to this group 4 years ago with ‘normal’ test results, but feeling fat, out of breath, having terrible memory loss, suspected IBS, unable to walk more that a few yards without being out of breath. New to this
In January I was sent for blood tests by a gynaecologist and he happened to check my thyroid as he was doing a full check. I was told by the GP that the results showed i had a ’massively’ underactive thyroid and she went through the symptoms with me- most of which I’d been suffering with but I’d put

RA and gluten free
I’m finding non-evidenced research online about gluten-free diets being useful for lowering inflammation in RA. Does anyone on here follow a gluten-free diet and see a marked benefit?

D3 and K2
Just venting really. It seems I'm unable to get hold of the Better You D3 and K2 spray since it was mentioned on the news and various daytime TV shows that it helps immunity. Seems Better You spray is the new toilet roll and pasta. Can't get it anywhere online as people have been panic buying it, no

Wrongly diagnosed with celiac?
Has anyone ever been wrongly diagnosed with celiac? I initially went to the doctors because I would feel sick when eating foods sometimes so I had blood tests, stool sample and an endoscopy. The results came back the I had celiac disease but I didn’t get the results until a year later, which I found

2 year old been recommended a gluten free diet
My 2yr 6 month year old has been having problems for a year now. Bloating being the biggie, one minute he has a flat tummy and the next he looks pregnant. He tells me it hurts. He’s ready for potty training but I’m too scared to try because he’s having about 3 loose (not diarrhoea) stools a day. They
