Pre-lap medical treatment
Some surgeons like you to be on
GnRH
agonists (eg zoladex) to make surgery easier; others like to see inflammation and endo in all its glory. But there is no evidence either way so don't be pressured into having
GnRH
agonists prior to surgery against your will.

?anyone know alternative options for out of stock Buserelin/Suprecur
I am in process of having treatment at a US clinic and they have advised to add in Buserelin known as Suprecur (
GnRH
analogue) into my treatment but it is out of stock in the UK. They have suggested several different other options which are either unavailable in the UK or out of stock.

Problems in diagnosing.
I have the worst mood swings, I am currently on
GnRh
injections to stop my ovaries as the doctors have thought it is my periods causing my severe mood swings but I am still the same.

Finally got a diagnosis
Long story short I was put on
GNRH
analogues and told that my only option was a hysterectomy. I moved to a BSGE hospital and got a second opinion. The care was much better. I finally had a cystoscopy and a laparoscopy. I feel validated with what has been found but also lost.

Treatment Advice
My consultant said my other 2 options are
GNRH
injections or surgery. I’m not keen on injections with them only being a short term fix but I’m worried about surgery. I’m just wondering what your experiences are and what you recommend/how are you managing endo?

Anyone had an ivf after Adenomyomectomy Surgery for removing Adenomyosis and /or large intramural fibroids?
Also not sure of quality of eggs after being so long on
GNRH
injections if we want to do another ivf starting from scratch. If you had done egg retrieval after being on
GNRH
let me know. Appreciate if anyone having similar experiences to share here 😍

What first?: Provenge or Nubeqa?
In general, androgen deprivation therapy (ADT) with leuprolide or
GNRH
antagonists remains a first-line therapy for patients who are still sensitive to androgen. For these patients, the antiresorptive agents denosumab and zoledronic acid can be used to help manage skeletal-related events (SREs).

GnRH medication- any tips?
Sadly it looks like my cyst had leaked recently and there was a lot of endo in there (disseminated intraperitoneal superficial endometriosis according to my discharge letter), and they want to put me on
GnRH
medication to get it under control.

Timing to start combined pill for endo?
I read a paper saying that
GnRH
agonists work better for endo if they are started in the luteal phase. I know that
GnRH
is a totally different substance to the combined pill, but it just made me wonder if there is any research or information about this for oestrogen and progesterone?

GNRH injection
Hi, been on
gnrh
injection for the past 4 months and for the past 2 months I’ve developed severe eczema and swelling on my eyelids. Did anybody else have a similar reaction? I’m trying to see if the two are linked

Being Proactive
They will also give me a
gnrh
injection to attempt to shrink the endometriosis beforehand. Finally I feel like there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

Tips for minimizing cardiovascular risk of lifelong hormone therapy
They recommend: • addressing CV reversible risk factors • involving a cardiologist upfront if 2 or more risk factors; endocrinologist if diabetic • using orchiectomy or
GnRH
antagonist (Orgovyx, Firmagon) • monitor BP, waist circumerence/BMI, serum lipids, HbA1c • aerobic and weight-bearing exercise

Extracts from two papers on exercise and cancer. Paper 1 investigates the blood from 25 patients with mCRPC exercising. Paper 2 is a review.
Briefly, patients who had been identified as mCRPC (adenocarcinoma of the prostate with systemic metastatic disease despite castrate levels of testosterone (<50 ng/dl) due to orchiectomy or luteinising hormone-releasing hormone (LHRH) agonist, undergoing ADT (gonadotropin-releasing hormone (

Gnrh injection reactions
Hi just after some advice and to see if anyone else has had this problem before. Had my second 3 monthly dose of prostap yesterday. The doctor who administered the injection wasn't my usual, I usually see the nurse. To start with she could not get the powder to melt in the syringe, then she couldn't

What Would You Advise Please?
I have been advised to begin: ADT (
GnRH
Antagonist) in combination with Apalutamid or Enzalutamide or Abiraterone /Prednisolon or Docetaxel. My questions are which of the suggested medications/therapies should I choose if at all (...perhaps do nothing and just let it alone)?
