Emotional rollercoaster
Hi everyone, I'm new here, and feeling resentful for it, is that normal? I'm 55, don't smoke, drink, fit-ish, bmi ok and eat healthily mostly (love butter). Three weeks ago while taking our son to a University application day I had some strange numbness in my arms and face. When I got home I took a

I was involved in a car crash on Saturday where our car was hit from behind by a lorry and span round hitting crash barrier facing the wrong way on the M4. Total Coronary Occlusion
I went to my GP with chest pain that I had been suffering from for a few months. The pain was on the right side of my chest and apart from one incident where it REALLY hurt, mostly it started in both sides of my jaw, then spread to both armpits and finally felt like I had just smoked too much. It would

Do you really need to take so many tablets after one angina attack?
My husband is working abroad and was taken to hospital last week with what has been diagnosed as angina but needs tests. That is scary enough being so far from home, but instead of giving him blood thinners (such as asprin) and a GTN spray as I understand is initially the response to a first attack he

Because I'm law abiding 😌.........
Bit of a topsy turvy photo but here are my new shoes and below the reason they were needed (you can just see the hole in the top of the Asics) and the fact that my feet seem to seize up a while after finishing my longer runs meant they were just about shot. The On Cloudflyers were my Christmas present

I have been waiting for an angiogramme wire pressure test for 10 weeks so far after being told it was urgent but will take 6 to 8 weeks for the appointment to come through in the meantime I was to start on all the usual

ASCO Genitourinary Cancers Symposium (Hypoxia related mRNA biomarker to predict biochemical failure and metastasis)
This is very much of interest to me. PCa tumors run into trouble when they outgrow their blood supplies. Unfortunately, the cells respond to a shortage of oxygen (hypoxia) in such a way that current treatments become largely ineffective. The internet is full of bogus info. about cancer "hating oxygen

Angina?
Hi, I am seeking some advice required from those who have had CABG. I had surgery about 15 months ago. all seemingly going swimmingly until about two weeks ago, when I started to experience discomfort in my left arm, akin to what I suffered pre-heart attack and surgery. Ache, and heaviness in my chest

Busy weekend
Firstly I am going to try to see my GP this morning if I can get past the receptionist but thought I would put things down here as well. At the moment I have a pain in my chest right in the center that feels a bit like a tender muscle sort of pain, it isn’t constant and only hurts in certain positions

Angina and tiredness
Angina and tiredness Every so often I suddenly feel very tired and have no go in me at all. It comes on when I do nothing, but perhaps after I have been busy earlier in the day. Today I had it and did use the gtn spray and it took some time for it to go. Then after a while I feel fine again, do others

A little update
So I reached the 6 month anniversary of my CABG this month and I was glad to see it. Followed shortly after by my 48th birthday, again something I was glad to see. But things are still not great, still dealing with ectopic beats, some days worse than others. The last couple of weeks if been getting occasional

Polyethyene glycol and propylene glycol
I do not know how to ask this. Are these related or close enough to cause the same reactions? Miralax is polyethylene glycol and bayer asprin has propylene glycol. I know i am jumping right in with a question without reading anything else and i apologise up front for that.

Struggling after stents
Hi all I am hoping people can reassure me what I'm feeling is normal as I am getting down about it and scared about the future. I am experiencing pressure pain in chest and throat since 4 stents fitted 6 weeks ago after heart attack. I have been to A and E about 10 days ago and all they did was test

Statins and sharp pains
Hi I’m new here. I’m on my 3rd statin (Rosuvastatin) having had Atorvastatin and then Pravastatin and seem to be suffering from random pains in my chest area. It’s not Angina as I’ve used my GTN spray with no real effect. The pains only last a minute or so at a time but are quite unnerving. I was
