Lipitor is a brand of atorvastatin. Usually they start people on the cheap and (not very) cheerful simvastatin. I am on atorvastatin after simvastatin caused bad muscle aches. Ramipril may cause a dry cough in some people but alternative are available where this is problematical.. Most of the drugs you mention rarely cause side effects but if something is untoward contact your GP.
So the message is do not worry unduly abut side effects. You do , however, need to stop smoking (if you do), eat healthily (low fat, lots of salads and veg, etc.) and talk to your heart nurse about how much you can do.
All the Best for 2018!
Hi Mrsbee, The dosage you are on for your meds is pretty standard to begin with, you will be checked to see how they are working, some may be amended or stopped, others may be added. It will take a short while to see if any side effects come through so don't be afraid to ask your GP or cardiologist should you notice any ill effects, aside from the aspirin they can all be changed for another.
The beta blocker, bisoprolol, will have the effect of making you feel tired in the evening so rest is good.
let us know how you get on
take care
Mark
