GTN Spray?
Hi. Brand new on here and 10 days post husband's heart attack and stent and he's doing very well. We're getting to grips with the drugs routine but are somewhat alarmed to discover, despite not having used it, that the GTN Spray is less than half full. Is this usual? Does it evaporate this quickly normally

Help - need to verify ingredients to avoid PG or PEG
My son is very sensitive to propylene glycol. His face gets horribly red, blotchy, and dry like sandpaper. Almost like he's been burned. No amount of lotion will moisturize the skin. I have figured out how to avoid it in foods and other obvious places, although I still have much to learn. He started

Please can someone tell me what I should be asking?
After a brief stint in hospital this week and no answers as yet, I thought I’d do a bit of research of my own. I have been part of healthunlocked before but not on this platform. I am Hypothyroide 100g thyroxine a day, my T4/3 is mid range although my TSH of .003 ( which most doctors will have you believe

Living with heart disease
Hi all, I am new here but I am wondering if the care my husband has been receiving is status norm. He had chest pains for a while and finally had to be seen by cardiology in jan/feb this year. ECG done.. then on the back of that, a CT had to be done urgently (within two weeks). That then lead to

Avoiding using GTN spray
Hi there. I'm here to try to help my 82yo Mum, who has had angina for a few years. Because she has suffered disabling migraine headache throughout her life, she has been too scared to ever use her GTN spray. When she gets breathless walking, or on steps, she just waits for the feeling too pass. My question

Dry Mouth, Dry Lips, Dry Eyes, Dry Skin, Eye Floaters And Some Possible Help
Dry mouth is a listed and common symptom of PD, but I think when many PWPs go to see their doctor, it may not be their highest priority to talk to their doctor about it with the other PD symptoms possibly being more prominent in the patients mind. Another consideration is that dry mouth is likely more

An intro to LCHF
Your liver can synthesize glucose (from lactate, alanine, glutamine, or the
glycerol
backbone of fats) for those few cells that need it, if it’s not directly available from ingested starches and sugars.

Back to the inhaler drawing board because Breo sent me to the ER after the 1st use
I finally saw a Pulmonologist on Friday for my recently diagnosed COPD. He said I without a doubt have COPD, but suspects I have had also untreated Asthma for years which has lead to the COPD, so he switched me from the Anoro inhaler my GP had put me on, to Breo. I have a methacholine challenge test

Coronary artery spasm, did it cause me to have heart attacks?
Hi, I am new to the page. I have been diagnosed with coronary artery spasm. I was on angina drugs even though my angiogram was clear due to my symptoms of chest pain and breathlessness. Failed a stress test, needed help off the treadmill after 3 minutes. 2 years ago I woke at 6am feeling strange, went

Micro vascular angina
I started with the symptoms of Microvascular Angina in November 2016, it started with shortness of breath when walking uphill. It progressed through to severe chest pain, shortness of breath and feeling clammy and colour drained from skin. I was rushed under blue lights to local A & E with suspected

Off for gait analysis - updated
Heading into Manchester in my running shoes and shorts. Feel like a right lemon. Update: So...very nice young man in the store. Asked me about my running. Asked me to take my shoes off and looked at my arches. Asked me to walk away from him bearfoot. Said I looked neutral with a very slight roll on

Cardiologist with imagination in or near West Midlands?
Discharged by NHS after myocardial perfusion scan results were ‘entirely normal’, I had three angina-like attacks the following week. GP cannot re-refer, but will write for advice if pain responds to GTN spray, but I’ve not been able to test that yet. Afriend with a medical background has advised me

GTN spray and headaches i
Had double bypass in July 2017 but still get chest pain although grafts have been shown to be working properly. One shot of GTN spray gives me a headache and doesn’t seem to help pain. At the end of a hospital appointment to demonstrate to my surgeon I made the mistake of of taking two puffs. Ten minutes

Flavoured GTN
Started on a new GTN this afternoon and found it is peppermint flavoured - is this a new thing and if so is there a range of flavours we could ask for?

Hello - I am on a journey to figure out my son's sensitivity to Propylene Glycol. I know I've only discovered the tip of the iceberg. Hoping to find more information here and through others. Our first big clue was the car - whenever we would go on long road trips my son's legs (thighs) would break
