Joe O'Connell asked "what is oxy dhq ?"
Beware of those who cite Otto Warburg in their opening sentence. Oops! Warburg (1883-1970) was awarded a Nobel Prize in 1931. He believed that cancer was caused by "the replacement of the respiration of oxygen in normal body cells by a fermentation of sugar." [Wiki] This is paraphrased across cancer

Update on 8 year old
Hi all just an update following my prev post, after spending all day at the hospital I got told its a virus and to let things take its time, the doctor was very rude, she had only one set of observations done on arrival as she didn't appear as an ill child. I ended up going back to my Gp today who has

IBS ESSENTIALS
I did something like this a while ago and it seemed to really help a few people so I thought I'd update, basically here are my essentials for coping with IBS (I have IBS-C but a lot of these will help sufferers of D too) - Peppermint tea - Ginger tea (for nausea), I particularly recommend the Ginger

The end of my father's PSP journey.
My father, Duncan, died on Saturday aged 91. He was ready to leave his frail body and PSP and as a man of faith to move on to a so much better place. He stopped being able to swallow even tiny bits of thickened liquid 8 days before he died. His carers kept his mouth comfortable with lemon glycerine swabs

Vaping to quit smoking
I have seen quite a few posts over the last several months of people asking about vaping. Some think they vape too much and others aren't sure about vaping. I vape and have vape through most of my "quit time". It helped, and still helps, me not smoke. There are times, even now, that I want a cigarette

Glycerine supposotories
Can anyone answer whether glycerine supposotories remove stool only in the rectum or if they trigger more to come down from the colon? I have rectal intussecuption which causes me to incompletely empty. I use these and it just seems I am never clear of stool. Thanks

GTN spray
Does anyone know if it's a "normal" reaction for heart rate to increase (from 96 to 150) after the GTN spray on the Tilt Table Test? My blood pressure remained the same but I could feel my heart getting faster and I became all hot and sweaty although I did not blackout.

Pounding heart prior to faint
I've just been diagnosed with postural hypotension and reflex syncope. Prior to fainting I feel my heart absolutely racing, if I then sit, drink lots water or sometimes just move around it begins to receed but I don't always have warning before blacking out or it comes on too quick. Ive had about 15

Endoscopy and Angiogram
Hi . I hope everyone is keeping warm . I had an angiogram recently and it came back saying I had a breathing artefact but otherwise ok. But am now being sent for an echocardiogram to ensure I don't have Scleroderma induced Pulmonary Hypertension. Had a Gastro endoscopy yesterday which says I have reflux

Had blood tests in 2003 which were positive for ANA and dsDNA was told wouldn't be lupus as didn't have a facial rash. Was diagnosed with chronic cervical radiculopathy and fibromyalgia. A few years on

A fine how do you do... :(
After going for years of ibs with diarrhea... it seems as if my body said: "Ok, let's now switch to constipation" ... I actually feel WORSE with the constipation... Glycerine suppositories do nothing... not even an enema will 'get it all'.... Guess I'll start taking a half of a Cascara Sagrada capsule

New type of pain?
I've been living with endo for 20 years, diagnosed for 11. Last night I woke up at 5am with a pain I've never had before. Sometimes I have pain that feels like my uterus has been stretched and the muscles are all fatigued, this morning it was similar to that but covering my whole abdomen, from my diaphragm
