Calcium score 0 but still getting chest tightness. Cardiologist has discharged me..
My CT cardiac angio showed a calcium score of 0 so my ‘cardiologist’ of all of 5 mins thinks my symptoms of chest tightness on exertion and with stress were due to a low iron. She’s discharged me with no further tests but I’m still getting symptoms. At a loss what to do... I suspect I should use the

Hi everyone, Just a quick question, I'm due to to and see the Rapid Chest Pain clinic today and it's my first time since being diagnosed from GP. What should I expect as I am quite nervous?? Will they scan my heart today, or maybe just start me on the medications, I do feel some thing should happen as

Spider now snakes !!!!
Found a grass snake last week, they don’t bother me so watched it wiggle off, Just now, there’s a small adder just gone into a crumbly old wall, yikes they can cause damage, keeping my dog inside until it’s found again. I’ll put a photo on here if I see it again. It’s that time of year, I’m keeping my

Hi hope you are well. Spoke to my GP yesterday. The 24 hour tape did show some pulse variation of 62-101. Some ectopics. She is sending a urgent letter to cardiologist with the results and my current symptoms. I have been using the GTN everyday in the evening. Night time I continue to have pounding of

Can You Have Too Much GTN Spray?
Hello, I have this Glyceryl Trinitrate spray that I am supposed to use if I get a pain. I have used it a couple of times, when I thought I had a pain, but it makes me feel really bad, (heart racing, head pounding and a bit sick). I am not sure how bad or how long I should put up with any "Pain" before

Last week was challenging - chest pain and visit to A&E
Just over a week ago (Sunday 30th August) I decided to go back to swimming after a 5 month break. I swam 44 lengths in 50 minutes and felt great. Next day I noticed my blood pressure was higher than normal and had a chest niggle after light warm up walk and a 30 minute run. I thought it was muscular

Pain down my arm ?
I’ve been getting quite a lot of pain down my arms even just the right one, sometimes without chest pain. Is that anyone else has or is it just me. And if anyone does do you use your GTN spray. It could be I’m trying to do a little bit more walking and a bit more active, trying to get my confidence back

5K‘s? An impossible dream?
Managed W6, Run (?) 3 with the aid of my lovely new (and mega expensive) running shoes. Something rather improbably called Brooks Glycerin 18. Isn’t that some sort of cough medicine? Such is the gullibility of the novice runner in a smart sports shop. Nice assistant though. Had me on video gait analysis

Angina Pains
Hey all, I had a heart attack 4 years ago at the ripe old age of 32 due to diabetes. I got 3 stents put in (dissolvable). I get angina from time to time but not during activity, but during rest.. most of the time. The past week my angina has gotten more frequent. Usually I don't use my GTN spray as the

H/A Then Angina
Hi guys, newbie here I'm just coming up to the first anniversary of my ha and stent (I'm 55). A few months ago I started to experience chest pain upon exertion, so my doctor has put it down to angina and given me a gtn spray (which I have to use occasionally), and also isosorbide mononitrate to go with

Few GTN sprays on my positive walks.
Got my trainers out, 3/4 leggings I used to wear, sunglasses on, all dressed for the occasion!!! If anyone was behind me they’d have thought what on earth is she doing. I started off slowly then on to a sensible walking pace, oh wow I thought, this is wonderful. Then!!!!! It started, aching across my

Positive thought 😃
I’ve decided I have been quite worried about walking to far because of my symptoms, so today I’m going to go for it, take it easy to start and see how I get on and build up, I used to walk my dog twice a day for miles, bike loads. Not going that far yet but getting started, GTN firmly one my pocket,

Concerned by chest pain
I'm starting to get worried now. Last week I was admitted to hospital after 4 days of chest pain. I underwent several ECGs and a couple of blood tests and the conclusion was that it was not a cardiac event. I'm now on my 8th day of chest pain. Where the pain is seems to vary - upper chest, lower chest
