Hey all, I had a heart attack 4 years ago at the ripe old age of 32 due to diabetes.
I got 3 stents put in (dissolvable). I get angina from time to time but not during activity, but during rest.. most of the time. The past week my angina has gotten more frequent. Usually I don't use my GTN spray as the pain is not that much and goes away on its own in 5-10 mins but the pain this past week wont go own its own and I need to use the spray.
After about 20-30 mins the pain comes back and wont go until I use the spray again.
Do you think this is something to worry about? What could be the cause?
I'm kinda getting fed up of the GTN spray, tastes horrible, stings and the there's the headache

When I had a GTN spray I was told that if I had angina pains during exercise that was to be expected and was okay. But if I had angina pains at rest that wasn't okay and needed looking at. I'd see a doctor, either your GP or go to A&E.
What are Dissolvable Stents ?? I didn't know about them !!!
If your GTN spray won't settle the Angina have you thought the pain may be something else ?? You really need professional advice to see what's going on.
