Hi

I have mild Angina

Recently I have been feeling very tired

I sent some BP readings to my Doctor

My Doctor then rang me

Concerned at low bp in afternoon

Asked me to stop taking Monomil XL

She will see me Wed pm to see how I'm feeling

In meantime I take more BP readings

I can use my spray if I have an attack

If it's bad I can restart Monomil XL before Wed

What are the likely affects of stopping the Monomil XL

Current Medication

Morning

1 X 15mg Lansoprazole Capsule

1 X 75mg Dispersible Aspirin Tablet

1 X 2.5mg Bisoprolol Tablet

0.5 X 60mg Monomill XL Tablet

Evening

1 X 40mg Atorvastatin Tablet

1 X 4mg Candesartan Tablet

Plus

GTN Spray When required

Hello and welcome to the forum! Monomil is one of many brands of Isosorbide Mononitrate, an effective anti-anginal. The Bisoprolol and Candesartan also affect BP. I suspect finding the correct balance of medication for you will require you and your GP to work together. If withdrawing the Isosorbide Mononitrate causes more angina that is not the solution. Good luck.
