Vasopastic angina. Advce

Hi hope you are well.

Spoke to my GP yesterday. The 24 hour tape did show some pulse variation of 62-101. Some ectopics.

She is sending a urgent letter to cardiologist with the results and my current symptoms. I have been using the GTN everyday in the evening.

Night time I continue to have pounding of the the heart episodes which calms down when I sit up.

Pulse 50-63. BP high when taken sitting up or standing . 143/90

I just don’t know what to do?

GP increased the Isosobide to 40.

Pharmacy didn’t have 40 . Will start tomorrow am.

Any advice?

How did the doctors diagnose your vasospastic angina please?

Welcome to the forum.

Vasospastic and Microvascular angina are often overlooked and go undiagnosed.

Often because sadly the knowledge about these conditions amongst many Cardiologists is not adequate.

The BHF has this information about Microvascular and vasospastic angina types of Ischaemia non obstructive coronary arteries (INOCA) also known as Non obstructive coronary artery disease (NOCAD)

The latest research and guidelines from the European Society of Cardiology is for an angiogram which assesses the function of the small vessels using adenosine and guide wire then acetylcholine to diagnose vasospastic angina.
