High Cholesterol?
A few weeks ago I had a scan following right upper back pain. It showed I had fat around the liver, I had bloods done and they came back normal. I asked for my cholesterol to be checked but the doctor refused as I had it tested 3 years ago. I paid and had a check at Lloyds Pharmacy, he gave me the

Blood Protein May Help Predict Diabetes, Death From Cancer— Prostasin commonly found in epithelial cells of organs - MedPage Today, 08/04/22
MedPage Today article about a blood marker I've never heard of, but one that might be worth getting done. Then again, as it seems to predict lifespan, maybe like the Horvath Clock (see link below), a case where for peace of mind it is better to live in the constant state where, at least for some things

Fasting glucose
I was diagnosed with coronary heart disease on 28th June. I have 69-65 % luminal stenosis in my lad . I am having an invasive angiogram on Monday. I started taking Atorvastatin 20 mg and Ezetimibe 10 mg on 28th June. I tested my fasting blood glucose yesterday and it was 7.8. Has anybody had high glucose

Tylenol and blood glucose readings
About 5 or 6 weeks post-transplant I noticed that my blood draw would indicate my blood sugar was 92, but when I got home it was 138. Those were about 20 min apart (only drinking water in between). I decided to consult Dr Google about this inconsistency. I found an article that said with the blood

Semaglutide as an Answer for ADT Fat Gain & Obesity
The gift of ADT (androgen deprivation) for advanced prostate cancer is a longer life. The harms caused by that same ADT are myriad and have been well discussed here. Included in those range of effects from very low testosterone is a powerful tendency to put on body fat. And to lose muscle mass and strength

Heart rate over 100. Should I lower or up my Levo??
Hi I was wondering if someone had any advice on whether or not I should lower or up my Levo dose? I had upped from 100mg to 112.5 mg beginning of June, but my heart-rate just keeps going over 100bpm when I’m not doing anything. I’m still tired and feel as if I just can’t be bothered. I’ve been sitting

Rank Neutraceuticals / Off-Label Drugs By Most Likely Most Beneficial
I'm curious about the opinions of members here on how they would currently rank Neutraceutical and off-label use drugs in order of highest benefit potential (most confirming clinical trial evidence combined with actual therapeutic or synergistic therapeutic effect) in slowing/stopping PCa progression

PCa prognosis is improving over time
Not only are side effects from some therapies decreasing, the overall mortality rates are also improving. I use MSKCC and AHA nomograms and predictions to assess my cardiac risk and PCa mortality risk. I was diagnosed in 2018. My status today shows roughly a 9% 15-year mortality risk and a 7.2% heart
