CDK12 gene mutation
My husband continues to be hormone sensitive but Sept. 4, 2023 he developed intense and unrelenting pain in his right mandible. The oncologist and palliative care nurse prescribed morphine and dilaudid to help reduce the pain. These pain meds are helping although he can still feel pain and gets breakthrough

Today was the day.
Relatively unique to me, my body comes out in rashes when my lungs are struggling. The rashes can come out of nowhere and will often split my skin. In a couple of area's they have permanently changed my skin. I see a great dermatology consultant who said she's never seen anything like what i have.

Genetic testing
Hello all. My dad has just completed 10 x cabazitaxal and is stable but I am looking ahead at what to do next. We have not had genetic testing done yet so think this is the next plan. I wanted to know a bit more about it. I know that if BRCA 1/2 or ATM show up then he can have oliparib but I understand

Hello all Hope everyone is doing ok. I am new here. I found out end of August that I had a 17cm cyst on my left ovary. The MRI did not determine if the cyst was malignant or benign. My gynae-oncologist arranged for emergency surgery on the 6th September but during surgery it burst. I had my left

Best genetic mutation test?
My husband’s RO ordered the Invitae
genetic
saliva
test
, and we’ve received results showing he does not have
genetic
mutations on the genes they tested (84 genes I think). The problem is I don’t see some important mutations on their test, such as CDK12 or others.

Feel lost
The team at Liverpool heart and chest hospital talked about me at a MDT meeting last week and I still haven't received any updates. They arranged for all my scans to be carried out a few weeks previously. I have called the hospital asking for updates and the only information I have been given is I will

Genetic
test
: negative, MSI High My case was reviewed by three MOs and it was concluded that although I have a high Gleason score, based on CHAARTED and LATTITUDE I have low -volume low-risk disease (no visceral involvement, 1 site of bony disease).

Who benefits from genetic testing and when? Is it mainly when someone becomes castrate resistant and or metastatic that they recommend it? Or is there value in doing it ahead of things while one is castrate sensitive? Had RP and then salvage radiation with 6 months ADT. 1st lab after.. T of 25 and undectable

11 blastocysts sent for genetic testing
Hello! I had an egg collection last Wednesday and they managed to retrieve 21 eggs, 19 of which were mature, 12 fertilised and 11 blastocysts (9 blastocysts on day 5 and 2 on day 6)! Really chuffed with the numbers as we got 5 blastocysts on our first cycle two years ago. Due to 4 failed transfers and

diagnosed HGSOC stage 3A2
Hi everyone, I’m new to this group as recently diagnosed and currently having 6 sessions of chemo (paclitaxel & carboplatin) every 3 weeks, although just had a delay on my 3rd session as white blood count too low 🤦♀️ and awaiting genetic testing results. I just wondered if anyone else has same diagnosis

Dealing with it all - egg donation
I have always been ambivalent about having babies and knew I didn’t want to do it alone. Still, at 39, a round of “insurance” IVF egg freezing led to no eggs surviving, an internal infection and 1 week in the hospital. Now, 2 years into a great marriage (with 2 step kids) 46 yo. Went for egg donation

DNAblue Thyroid Genetic Traits
I am considering getting the DNAblue Thyroid

test
from Blue Horizon, as I suspect I am a poor converter of T4 to T3. It looks as though it is a relatively new test and was wondering if anybody had experience of using it please?
