Morning folks,
Well I completed my first cycle of Provenge yesterday and all seems well so far.
I also met with MO to review recent genetic testing results and have confirmed a mutation BRiP1 which is associated with autosomal dominant hereditary ovarian cancer, autosomal recessive Fanconia anemia, and predisposition to breast and prostate cancer.
So whoopie I get to see a genetic counselor and explain to my two grown sons the need to get checked.
We also reviewed PSA history during and post Pluvicto, 3.2 prior to start, 7.2 after fourth treatment and now 24 at six months post treatment. Both my onco’s said PSA is not as important as scan when on Pluvicto and that Provenge will not bring PSA down.
I wonder if I have non PSMA expressive cells that have survived.
MO wants to refer me to Sarah Cannon Cancer Institute in Nashville, TN for consideration in a clinical trial.
Does anyone have experience with them. I would appreciate some feedback.
Fight on, don’t give up, never give up. Watched Jim V yesterday when I got home.
