Gedarel

I'm approaching 50 and my GP has suggested switching to that from Gedarel (combined pill), which I've been on for years with no problems. I've never liked the idea of the coil but they won't prescribe Gedarel after 50...

GP suggested I trial Gedarel 20/50 contraceptive pill as a different form of contraception after two failed merina coils and constant bleeding on all prostegeon only contraceptives (heavy period for 6 months kinda symptoms). The main reason is to control my Endometriosis. 

I got offered the combined pill (Gedarel) which made my symptoms worse with pelvic pain now every single day and a heavier more painful period and other side effects of the pill.

I take my combined pill (Gedarel 30/150) without breaks, to help with extreme cramping and serious anaemia. I take a 5 break when I get breakthrough bleeding. Does this put me at risk of pregnancy? Is there a set 28-day cycle, or is this subjective? Thanks.

I’ve been taking the pill, (Gedarel), without a break for 4 months now and was wondering if it is safe to do so? I’m not wanting to have periods anymore as they are too painful, hence the reason for being on the pill!

I started on gedarel conception 5 days ago and have had nothing but horrific side effects from it, including this excruciating pain.

I have been on the same pill (Gedarel) for 5 years now, I’ve never had any issues, the last few months I’ve noticed some changes in my period, and on a few occasions brown discharge in between periods, today 8 days into taking my pill I have started bleeding, like normal bleeding, this has never happened

They then suggested (as did someone on here) that I take Gedarel 20/150 20 micrograms of ethinyestrdiol and 150 micograms of desogestrel. I was fine for the first nine days on it.

I’ve been on the combined pill, Gedarel for about 7 months now but still experiencing bad mood swings when I start taking the pill again after my 7 day break as well as before my period starts. Should this still be happening after 7 months? Not sure whether to change pill or not.

Do I need to use a condom if I’m on the gedarel combined Pill or is it safe for my bf to not use one?

However the pill I was given, Gedarel, is making me bleed all the time, there's no pain but it's a pretty crappy side effect. Microgynon did the same.

I did this and then around pack 3 I was bleeding and bleeding (I was on first marvelon then gedarel) I came off them for a while and the bleeding stopped. I waited for a normal period to come and I was put on microgynob. After 5 days I got thrush and stopped it.

I stopped Gedarel and was given Noriday and Tranexamic Acid. Doc mentioned Endo at this point, but wanted to see how I progressed.

Gedarel - same as above but also headaches single day.

. in may my period cramps were so bad i threw up three times on the first day of my cycle, this was the day i started on gedarel. my first period since being on this pill has been shorter but hasn’t helped for pain yet and this was the same with microgynon.

These are my symptoms: Severe period pain - can’t do anything, completely overwhelming Pain down my legs Dizziness Anxiety attack - hyperventilating During last month of using Gedarel pill, I had a period/ bled for 18 days (and counting from 11/02/19) with severe pain and the co-codomol didn’t help
