Breakthrough bleeding 8 days into this months pill packet

I have been on the same pill (Gedarel) for 5 years now, I’ve never had any issues, the last few months I’ve noticed some changes in my period, and on a few occasions brown discharge in between periods, today 8 days into taking my pill I have started bleeding, like normal bleeding, this has never happened before, should I be worried?

Presume smears and chlamydia testing up to date ? Has anything else changed, your body weight etc ?
