Gastroscopy question
What is the smallest amount of time I can eat gluten before gastroscopy? my letter says 8 weeks of gluten in every meal however I won't be able to do that without destroying myself and leaving myself unable to work. would 2 weeks have any affect or does it have to be this long? Also how much gluten

So upset
I was diagnosed in April 2017 with stage iv stomach cancer at the junction of Oesophagus. The cancer had spread to the peritoneum and I was offered palliative EOX chemo. I responded very well to the chemotherapy and was subsequently offered surgery (total gastrectomy, part removal of oesophagus and removal

I’m new to this, can anyone help?
I’m really confused. I’ve been ill since May last year. Heartburn/ indigestion constantly as well as bad spells of diarrhoea and dreadful fatigue.Nothing relieved my symptoms! In September when I was told I had to wait 4 months to see a consultant I took it upon myself to eliminate acid and most gluten

Side Effect of Prednisolone - Dementia?
My dad is 70 yrs old and was diagnosed with PMR last week and had been given prednisolone ever since. First 3 days the rheumatologist gave him prednisolone 40mg and he didn’t look like himself, mostly quiet, confused, dazing, couldn’t answer simple questions, couldn’t drink or swallow when we told him

Liver M.R.I with contrast
I was diagnosed with cirrhosis two years ago during detox and then discharged. Last year I started pushing for follow-up. I saw a consultant and she said I had grade 'A' cirrhosis and I needed bloods , ultrasound and gastroscopy. Following my ultrasound last Tuesday, I arrived home to find an appointment

Do they always check for celiac when doing a gastroscopy?
I had a gastroscopy done a year ago to test for H. Pylori. There was no H. Pylori, but lately I'm starting to think it could be celiac. They didn't mention it though, so does this mean I'm don't have Celiac disease or can it also mean they just didn't test it?

Overdue update
My husband hasn't been at all well. He became ill on boxing day and ended up in hospital. Got home after a few days but a week later had to get the out of hours doctors again and then a wait of four and a half hours for an ambulance. His breathing was very bad probably from a copd flare up. He's now

Inguinal Hernia.
It is 21 months since I left Hospital after 15 days including five days in intensive care following partial lung collapse. Chemotherapy was not an option for me as after two cycles prior to surgery it was stopped due to DVT in my lower left leg. I am now on warfarin for life. I had a lot of the problems

Help with Gastroscopy
I recently had a Gastroscopy whilst on a fast track Cancer pathway to look into the possibility that I may have upper GI Cancer. Cutting a long story short, thankfully I have not got Cancer, so that’s a big relief. I did not know what a Gastroscopy involved so I checked it out on Google. I read many

Hello All, Finally, after years of pleading and fighting to be believed, I've found the cause of my B12 deficiency and felt it worth posting, just in the hope it resonates with someone else in finding answers. My symptoms ranged from struggling with day to day life (just generally not coping), exhaustion
