Hello :-)

Yes I have and think most will say yes it is quite normal things are still healing

Just go steady and rest when you feel some discomfort till it eases again

14 weeks is still early recovery so you are doing really well :-)

Happy New Year 🎉:-) x

Hi, I'm 3 1/2 years on from OHS for a new valve, similar age to you, and it takes a long time for the muscles in the chest to sort themselves out.14 weeks is still very early, I had some discomfort bending over to tie my laces at a year and still can't lie on my left side for long on a firm mattress. However, I am fitter than I have been for a long time and can do everything I did prior to surgery.

Take it easy and listen to your body, you will get there.

I had endocarditis and a mital valve repair mid July. I restarted archery in October and after a few session with a low poundage 18lb bow managed to give myself costo-chondritis. My consultant called me a"silly boy". I gave it another 6 weeks and started again. I'm upto 24lb bow now with no ill effects. Just give it time
