Breast seroma

Just needing some reassurance regarding my breast seroma. Had mastectomy in August and 3 months on I have developed seroma. I have had it drained 3 times, but it just keeps returning. I have 3 more weeks of chemo to complete then I will have radiotherapy in the new year. Will they still continue with my radiotherapy plan with my seroma still being there? I would appreciate your thoughts or any advice ladies xx

I had the same problem. You will have to have a needle aspiration if it is very full. Half way through mine I had to have an aspiration as it would have affected the radiotherapy. I also contribute after to insist they drain it. The argument is that if they drain it you make more, but mine was not reducing. By having aspirations and stretching the time between aspirations made my body slowly reduce the amount of fluid it was making. Good luck and if you have to, stand your ground! Sending love. Thank your advice. I've had it drained twice already, but hopefully it will reduce in time. Just didn't want it to halt radiotherapy as I want this treatment over and done with! Take care
