New PET SCAN
My wife underwent post chemo PET CT and report is good. Still local and main lump almost gone. Mastectomy in 2 weeks. As she is Her2 + she shall be on Herceptin or on biosimilars for rest of the year. My question this time is whether insurance pays for Herceptin infusion post mastectomy in India ?

Costochondritis, does anyone have information about this condition ?
I have been experiencing pain in my ribs around the chest area. I have had a mastectomy, and the pain is predominantly in the ribs which are now only lightly covered by flesh. My cancer care nurse suggested that it could be a condition called Costochondritis. Had anyone heard of this condition of know

new DCIS
I am new to this forum and newly diagnosed DCIS high grade. I am at the decision making process of type of treatment. I have been given the option of lumpectomy with radiation and mastectomy. Both I need hormone therapy. I am pre menopausal. How did those in this same situation decide? How did

HER2 positive treatment recommendation
I am writing on behalf of my mother who has been diagnosed with breast cancer. She has already undergone total mastectomy followed by chemo port insertion. Dr has recommended 4x AC 3 Wkly + (Wkly Taxol *12 + Herceptin(3 Wkly) ). The total cost of treatment is beyond 15L even after Blue tree program.

Delaying starting tamoxifen
Hi all, I was diagnosed in April with IDC (ER+|PR+ HER2-)and had 2 unsuccessful lumpectomies followed by a unilateral mastectomy with immediate implant reconstruction on July 1st last. My oncotype score was 13 and as the mastectomy had clear margins I thankfully don’t need either chemo or radiotherapy

Survived right side breast cancer, what are the chances of getting it on the left side?
I have survived 100% Estrogen positive twice over the years, the last time was 2016 I had complete mastectomy on my right breast, chemo and am currently taking tamoxifen. When diagnosed a 2nd time I asked to have a double mastectomy however I was told that they would not remove a healthy breast and that

Side effects of radiotherapy on patients with SLE
Hi I was diagnosed with lupus 11 years ago. I've been really lucky in that, aside from the initial flare (bilateral pleural effusion with a very small amount of fluid around my heart) from which I was diagnosed, I haven't had any major problems, in fact 2 years ago I was told I might not even have lupus

Holly Kitchen (MBC Video)
Watch her video. She explains how misunderstood it is and how she herself did not realize you can get MBC even after having mastectomies. Put it in youtube or just google Holly Kitchen and MBC. Many of you may have seen it, others may have not.

Hi - I'm new here
I've been poking around here for a couple of weeks and decided it was time to jump in. Diagnosed in 2008 - right after my 50th birthday - with stage 3 breast cancer. Bilateral mastectomy, removal of most lymph nodes on affected side, lots of heavy chemo & radiation. All stayed quiet on Letrozole until

Hi: I have to ask quick question though it appears most people on this site take better care of themselves via diet and exercise holistic therapies, etc. My confession is that when I began ibrance/Letroziole 20 month ago I thought (I know know that’s not true) well I’m only gonna live 22 month if even

Frankincense
I've been putting Frankincense oil on my chest since day one and taking a drop of oil in a capsule daily. My daughter just brought me a bag of Frankincense crystals to make water with. I took my first ounce today and my old mastectomy scars are itching like crazy! Itching has always been a sign of

Post DIEP surgery exercises??
Hello everyone, I was discharged yesterday after a delayed DIEP flap reconstruction and was given the Breast Cancer Care leaflet with 8 arm exercises. They are the same ones I had to do after the mastectomy 2 years ago. I haven't been given any information or advise about tummy exercises. I'm hunched

Mom detected with invasive ductal carcinoma
First when my mom told me about the lump, I took her for checkup followed by mammography appointment and FNAC test which created suspicion for cancer. Next was going to a surgeon for removal and during that procedure there was a frozen section report which confirmed cancer (Invasive ductal carcinoma)

I am suffering shortness of breath and abdominal bloating
Hi, I’m new here though my breast cancer diagnosis was many years ago in 2004 when I was 43, I had the usual investigations followed by lumpectomy, mastectomy and axillary clearance then chemo and radiotherapy, I am so lucky to have remained cancer free, it was triple negative, grade 3, stage 2 if I
