How many chest infections is normal?
How many chest infections and/chesty coughs does everyone get per year? A bad year and a normal year. I know our lungs are a weak spot obviously for asthmatics but I have just felt so rubbish for most of the last 12 months. I had a break from it during our heat wave this summer and with the first lot

Prolapsed uterus - bowel movement?
Hi eveyone, well its been a while. Thoracic surgeon pleased with my recent chest x-ray and lung function test - hurray! but, that's about the only good thing. Not been feeling great since Rheumatologist took me off mycophenolate mofetil. My wrists, hands, fingers and thumbs are in so much agonising pain

Pacemaker in - all good
All done now & back on ward. It took 2 hours 30 minutes, I now have to wait for chest x-ray and then if all good I can go home in 4 hours, yeah. Bit sore now the local is wearing off but absolutely no pain during and I was quite chilled - literally as it was cold in the cath lab! Having my warm tea

More questions about low dose of Pred and Adrenal Insufficiency
Hi, I read with interest the explanations of Adrenal Insufficiency recently. Has anyone an explanation for my problem? I have been on Prednisolone for over 3 years since PMR was diagnosed in July 2015. My highest dose was 15mg . I have suffered "flares" as I reduced, well at least the GP diagnosed flares

Bronchiectasis
Hello all, At the moment I am struggling with chest, coughing up large amounts of sputum feeling unwell. Had sputum tested twice came back clear. Chest X-ray came back clear. Now to have blood tests. I was wondering if anyone had tried homeopathy or herbal treatments and had succeeded with it. Just curious

New! Help with blood results!
Hello! I was recently diagnosed with hypothyroidism! My first set of blood test results came back as: Free T4 = 3 (12-22) and TSH 100 (0.27-4.2) I was put on 50mg Levothyroxine for a week and then got told to up it to 75mg after. I’ve been on 75 for 5 weeks now and my recent blood test results came back

Questioning lab results? Hoping someone can help!
I’m down to getting iron transfusions only monthly now along with b12 injections and don’t seem to have any more energy or I can’t seem to tell or feel any difference. I’m tired or if I sit down I’m out.. as long as I’m up I can do things.. I do most of the things here at home as fortunately I’m able

Mucus cough in the mornings that won't go away!
I've had this for about a year now every morning without fail I'll have a coughing fit until I bring up some mucus from what feels like quite deep down.. sometimes it's tinged with blood (bright red) which I assume is just from how forceful the coughing can be sometimes I'll also have the same cough

Always a new symptom
The health anxiety has kicked up again, it’s seems I’m fine for awhile then something triggers it. This time it’s been pain under my left pectoral, my logical side tells me that I had it for a few weeks and had a ekg and chest X-ray a month an half ago so if it was cardiac related it would of happened

Is this truly anxiety
Heart beating out of my chest, dizziness, breathing difficulty, arms feel weird, discomfort in my left chest all the time and sometimes my back and a fear that something may be wrong with the circulation in my body due to weird chest and arm feelings. Went to emergency 3 times and they say I’m okay.

complication after Pacemaker insertion.
Hello everyone. I am new here. I had a AF couple of months ago out of no where. never had any cardiac problems before. After 8 days on the cardiac monitor, I was diagnosed with Tachy-Brady syndrom, and I ended up with dual chamber pacemaker. And I was discharged home following day. First two weeks

So fed up coughing😪
Hi all, Any help would be greatly appreciated. I’ve had this cough for months. I’ve had 3 lots of antibiotics which have helped at the time, but after a couple of weeks it’s back again. Double week of horror
As some of you will know I finished 5/6 treatments on the Rotterdam Regime which ended mid May. I managed most of a third round of maintenance Etoposide tablets in June/ July before making decision to stop them myself as I was beginning to feel very rough. Scan results mid June showed much reduced nodules

Bad Cough
My husband has a terrible cough. He's had a chest X-ray and it's not his heart or pneumonia. Could this be caused by his PSP?

Newbie: Undiagnosed with 3 Months Chest Pain
Hi, I’m new here and wanted to ask for advice about 3 months of chest pain and if anyone could offer advice - what would you do? Sorry for the long post but here’s my story... I was referred to a rheumatologist for my various pain issues and as a part if the process was sent for a chest x ray. One doctor

Draining. Again.
Hi lovely ladies. Went to A and E yesterday. Felt so rough. Tummy swollen badly even though I was drained 10 days ago. Was supposed to have chemo but felt too rough to go. They treated me with intravenous antibiotics for suspected sepsis but that was precautionary. They did chest X Ray, ECG and blood
