Ganirelix

My cycle was day 1-6 - 300 meriofert Day 6 start ganirelix shot Day 6-13 - 150 meriofert, 150 gonal F, ganirelix shot in the morning. If we can afford further cycle not sure if the stims will change.. any thoughts?? Xx

I had my first monitoring scan today after a week of 300iu meriofert and ganirelix a day. My right ovary showed 2 follicles (14/11) but my left didn’t show any response. I have a amh of 1 so wasn’t expecting loads but thought it’d be a few more as at the baseline I was showing 6 follicles.

I try so hard to keep stress down and do acupuncture etc Previously we’ve done short protocol FSH only 450iu with Ganirelix from day 5 and HCG 10,000 trigger for all 3 cycles.

I am starting GonalF tonight and then ganirelix (? I think that's how it's called). I feel ok because I am on annual leave for most of the days I am taking the injections, so at least I do not have the anxiety of being in work and coming home in a rush.

Basically I had 11 days of Norethisterone, then after the bleed I started Meriofert 300mg daily then on the fifth day of taking Meriofert I started Ganirelix 25mg in the mornings too. I am due to have a blood test and scan on Monday 26th August, with potential egg collection on Wednesday 28th.

I start ganirelix 0.25mgs on day 6 to day 9. On day 7 to 9 my meriofert dose reduces down to 150 dose and I start Gonal F 150 dose. Day 10 is my first scan and then we go from there.

Last year I had step down protocol (short Antagonist), i think it was 150 meriofert x 2 a day for a couple of days, then 150 meriofert once a day, and ganirelix in the morning from day 5. This worked well for me last time and got 11 eggs, 9 mature.

Hi,I'm on day 5 of stims for my first IVF cycle (and started ganirelix today as well). Anybody else at a similar stage? I have my first monitoring scan and blood test tomorrow and am excited but nervous.

I wasn't expecting it and it wasn't in the original plan, but I've been prescribed Cabergoline for 8 days, to start at the same time as the trigger, and will have to start clexane (blood thinners) and ganirelix (gnrh agonist) injections following egg retrieval.

I am on day 5 of taking ovaleap (dose 375 - evening) and day 1 (morning) of taking ganirelix. I was feeling ok until now. From about 7pm today, I keep seeing watery brown blood discharge on the toilet paper, and it is more than just spotting. My abdomen hurts a little bit.

My clinic told me Day 1-7 Ganirelix and oestrogen Day 8 increase oestrogen Day 12 scan then 5-7 days later egg and sperm thaw) (this is the bit I don’t understand) Then progesterone blood test check day 15 ish within 3 days starting progesterone - around day 12 I assume.

I was put on the short protocol - 375 ovaleap (AMH 7.2) and then from day 5, I was taking ganirelix. From day 5, I started to have pains in my uterus area (not ovaries) and was having brown discharge. On day 5, my uterine lining was good at 6.1. From day 5, the discharge/pain was getting worse.

The nurse advised me that they have ran out of stock of suprecur and I have the alternative option to use Ganirelix. Have anyone used this alternative and know of any difference or any positives/negatives I may need to think about?

It looks like I'll have gonal-F and ganirelix injections. What should I be asking my consultant about? I'm pretty nervous about overstimuation because it was really awful before. Has anyone experienced a gentle protocol and can tell me a little more about it or know how it would be different?

My Fallopian tubes have blockages and possibly also a question mark over egg quality but husband has been told his sperm are top notch 🙄 The first cycle I used Ovaleap and Ganirelix but none of our 5 fertilised eggs developed normally and we weren’t able to have a transfer.

Hi ladies, anyone with very low ovarian reserve used down regulation (Buserelin, Antagon, Ganirelix, and Orgalutran)? Any problems with the periods too messed up after that?

Also started on ganirelix on Friday and finding that the site is very red and stings for about 45 mins after. Has anyone else found this? Thanks
