Skin problems
Does anyone else suffer with eczema? Mine only seemed to start about 4 years ago, and I find it flares in line with a flare of fibro. I find taking an antihystimine (sp) plus an equivalent of E45 cream helps, but it still takes days to die down again. I am on the large side I admit, and my creases

Colds
Hi all fairly new to this I was diagnosed in September following a severe attack. since then whenever I get a cold my symptoms flare up terribly and I experience wheezing, coughing etc and I don't seem to be able to get through the cold without at least 1 course of steroids. Do others get like this?

The effect of cannabis on the lungs - share your experience
Many people don’t realise the effects smoking cannabis can have on your lung health. A report by the British Lung Foundation (BLF) found that just three cannabis cigarettes can cause the same damage as 20 tobacco cigarettes as the tar from cannabis cigarettes contain 50% more cancer causing carcinogens

Topic of the Month: March - Itchy Rashes
There are many different skin manifestations in lupus, which vary from person to person. The ‘classical’ skin problem in lupus is the butterfly rash. This is a red rash, sometimes no more than a mild blush that occurs across the bridge of the nose and on the cheeks. This type of rash tends to

Cough, Cough, Cough
My daughter was diagnosed with Asthma around 2 years ago, however her symptons are coughing and not wheezing. Her Asthma is worse in winter as her trigger is having a cold, the problem is she seems to get more colds than most! During January/February we had around 5 weeks of colds, one after the other

My own experiences, treatment regime and results (this is a long one)
Having had virtually all the symptoms for APS and with nightly injections of Heparin relieving the symptoms you would have thought that I would have been diagnosed with APS by the experts! But no. My anti-cardiolipin test came back at 35 which is 31 over the limit for a positive, however because this

On giving advice...
No spots today, apart from one on my face which has tele-ported me back to a time when I was teenager (although I was never really too spotty) thankfully now the 'monster' is concealed under a blanket of antiseptic cream... anyhow I digress, and move onto the tricky subject of advice. As human beings

Reducing Ventolin after a cold
My 3 year old twins both have asthma and we have been told when they have coughs / colds to use 4 hourly ventolin, 4 puffs. This seems to work really well for them, and has so far resulted in reduced chest infections and better control of their asthma. The problem is i'm not entirely sure when to reduce

Asthma & Colds
Hi all, I'm looking for some help. My 3yr old son has Asthma and every time he gets a cold his coughing at night is out of control. Is there anything he could take to control or ease the coughing? His ventolin isn't helping any. Thanks Stephanie
