physio
I have been designated a RA physio …. What !!! I hear you shout. Yes could have blown me down with a feather thought they were extinct. She was lovely and understood me completely. Appointment was an hour and a half . I’m having multiple problems but she asked what I would like to concentrate on first

Trainers
HiCan anyone help signpost or recommend some good running trainers, or a place to buy them from. My last pair were fab when I was 6stone lighter and my joints weren't as weak, but even fast paced walking is causing me considerable pain in my ankle, shins, knees and top of the foot. I don't know where

Xtandi vs. Biktarby advice needed.
After Zytiga-prednisone-lupron failed, mostly by overwhelming SE from the first two. I received my second Lupron injection last week even though there's a slight PSA increase from .83 to 1.10 (they did not do a testosterone test, wich was climbing again) Oncologist mentioned we could start Xtandi but

Casodex after castration resistance?
After being undetectable on mono HT (Zoladex) for 67 months my dad's PSA started climbing in December 2022. In March it was 0.05. His testosterone level also rose from 0.6 to 1.2. The doctor recommended to add Casodex. After a month, in April his PSA was 0.024 and testosterone was 0.9. I have two questions

Back on ADT
Restarted ADT 3/15/23 with my Lupron shot followed quickly with Xtandi 160mg daily. My PSA peaked to 3.36 on 3/7/23 and then 4/3/23 1.65 5/1/23 .34 So hoping the trend continues downward. Not sure if a slow or quick drop is better on recurrence. My RO said, when asked, "lower is better". Its getting

Knee Surgery and Xtandi
Hello everyone, I am scheduled for Knee surgery soon because of an injury pre cancer. The surgeon and the anesthesiologist asked the question about taking Xtandi during surgery etc. My MO said to take it until the day before and then stop for like 2 weeks. Xtandi has driven my PSA to Undetectable

So I get an xray which shows osteoporosis of the spine with 2 old
fractures
. Whilst getting the results via GP, I explained that I thought with all the slouching because of back pain that I might have an ulcer.

Orchidectomy?
I have no plans to have an orchidectomy but I’m curious why some men do get them. I get that it allows one to avoid needing the periodic injections. But as I understand it one still has to take something to deal with the testosterone that is still produced by the adrenal glands even after the orchidectomy

Re: Taxotere chemo after post surgery IMRT
Has anyone received Taxotere chemotherapy after post surgery radiation? My son age 50 was diagnosed last summer with PC tertiary 5 pattern. First post surgery PSA was 20. PSMA pet showed some invasion to pelvic lymph nodes no where else. Put on Lupron , generic Zytiga and prednisone and given 6 weeks

P1NP Blood test.
After 15 spontaneous
fractures
since 2018, he’s decided to do a P1NP blood test. Naturally, I’ve read about it, but my question is, have any of you benefitted or had a change in treatment as a result of what the test shows ?

severe leg pain with leg buckling
She insisted I attend A&E to rule out any
fractures
. So Saturday I spent 16hrs in A&E, I had a CT scan which ruled out any
fractures
, but as I have fused sacroiliac joints and 2 slipped discs, they couldn’t tell if the nerves are impacted and being compressed, so have to get gp to organise an MRI.

Worried about my son, TBI survivor
He suffered skull
fractures
, bleeds to the brain, bruising to the brain, open
fractures
and various other injuries. Miraculously he survived. He is experiencing extreme fatigue and just a walk from his room to the kitchen will exhaust him.

so scared
My husband, 60, just got an MRI report that stated aggressive metastatic prostate carcinoma >15 that spread to bladder and anus walls. We have an appointment with the urologist in 3 days. This feels so hopeless. Symptoms have been difficulty urinating mostly. PSA ranging 5-7 over the past month. IS THERE

Thoughts on switching from firmagon to lupron
I have been on firmagon and zytiga since December 2021. I seem to be tolerating both well (normal effects of fatigue, loss of strength, some foggiest). Liver and kidney numbers are goo and PSA is undetectable. Recently, after each firmagon shot, I get body aches and feel bad for about a day-but even
