Why is exercise feeling difficult?
Since then I have had many more chest infections and asthma flare ups and I now take
fostair
100/6 2 x 2 and ventolin as needed plus antihistamines for hay fever season. I am struggling to run and need to keep stopping regularly.

Fostair not for everyone?
After I had this minor virus (no cough) for a few weeks and I was using my salbutamol more, the docs put me on
Fostair
100/6 twice a day.

Adrenal insufficiency: a general information post (does not replace medical advice)
My original instructions said try to stop steroid inhaler for 48 hours; I did 36 and had an admission shortly after which my endocrine nurse specialist felt might be related to missing 3 doses of
Fostair
, so she said not to stop for more than 24 hours - this is fine for the test.

Not my finest...
I did remember my steroid inhaler (
Fostair
) before the run. Might have to switch my Montelukast to mornings?? This won't make much sense to non astmhatics ...sorry. Anyway, any run is better than no run, but I wish summer would come back, at least for a bit! Happy running folks...

Relvar?
I have been on seretide for years and doctor changed me to
Fostair
which did not work so back to seretide. I know some drugs work better than others for some people. Was wondering what the latest steroid inhalers are and opinions of Relvar which I had not heard of.

Rinsing after Fostair?....
Anyway, my question is, if I use a puff of
Fostair
during the day, I think I need to gargle and rinse?? Does anyone have a way of doing this while at work??

Palpitations
have been on
Fostair
200/6 for about 6 months - was on
Fostair
100/6, and am beginning to suffer palpitations. I see that this is a side effect of
Fostair
and wondering if anyone else has the same problems and if so is it getting worse with the whole Covid 19 situation??

Asthma or not???
I have had side effects from
Fostair
and Budesomide . Last night I stayed off my inhaler to test my reaction. This morning my peak flow was usual 550 and SP02 97. Am I being foolish to wonder about this. Obviously I will speak to Gp.

Post Covid Asthma won't settle
Previous to this my asthma was well controlled on
fostair
4 x 100/6, ventolin as needed (once a month or less), dymista and cetirazine. I've been on this lot for about 7 years with the occasional issue after respiratory infections, solved by temporary doubling of
fostair
.

When to start new inhaler
Just want to ask maybe a very silly question, but, at what number reading do you discard a metered dose inhaler (like
Fostair
)? It strts at 120. Last month i finished it up to 0 but felt like there is nothing there but air.

Exercise asthma - use of prednisolone
I use
Fostair
100 twice a day and Montelukast in the evening. When sedentary and going about my daily business, I am fine. I don't have attacks as such but when my control isn't so good, as at present, any exertion - gentle walking, household chores - make my breathing laboured and uncomfortable.

6-7 weeks being short of breath
First one they swapped
Fostair
for Symbicort, which has maybe helped a little, but still wheezy and short of breath. Second call last week they tried me on Montelukast, i'm five tablets into that with no improvement at all. I've got a follow up call next week, but she seemed pretty stumped!

Advice welcome
I currently take
fostair
200/6, spiriva, montelukast and I’m down to 4x ventolin every 4 hours, I’ve also done the covid test and have to wait 48hrs for the results.
