evenity vs prolia+forteo
speak freely. my Mum's been given these choices, i would love it if she could come off prolia, but evenity sounds too high-powered. prolia has 60mg/6months of ingredient, and evenity has 210mg/1month of whatever it is, is that right? i don't even know if i want to know. had a T11 compression, had

Forteo & kidney stones
In January I completed 2 years of
Forteo
injections, and wonder if the cause of all of those kidney stones were caused by the
Forteo
injections recently completed? (A scan taken in 2015 showed only 1 small kidney stone in one kidney)

Sudden diagnosis of CKD3 a few months following adrenalectomy
My wife was borderline cushing's disease back in fall. For years she had a nodule on her adrenal gland that was creating significant health issues. Had surgery to remove the one gland back in November, and then was on a course of hydrocortisone for about 4 months (gradually decreasing dosage until done

Had the ablation.
Monday I had the procedure under general anesthesia-safely and successfully. The did give IV cortef at the start of the procedure. Since they needed to intubate my throat is sore for days but my ears-especially the right one are achy. I was debating why aching now; pollen count is moderate, and my jaw

Dry eye following Trabeculectomy
Hello I had a right trabeculectomy nearly 4 months ago & all was well until about a week ago. I have used regular lubricating drops as I have had the same surgery in my left eye that was complicated by uveitis. I have tried a variety of lubricating drops & eventually Theoloz gel was recommended & worked

AFTER FORTEO
Has anyone taken Fosamax after
Forteo
with good results instead of going on Prolia? Also, has anyone taken Prolia and not have side effects? all we hear are the horror stories, there must be some good stories. Is it because people who are doing well don’t go on the website?

Carbomer eye gel
Good morning. I was at the ophthalmologist yesterday getting umpteen scans and things due to taking hydroxychloroquine. I have very dry eyes once the UV starts to increase (usually February so bang on time). The ophthalmologist gave me carbomer eye gel to use before I go to bed and told me to continue

Severe Osteoporosis - Understanding the scan report and treatment
He said my choices were: Prolia once a month for 2 years (he does not recommend this)
Forteo
- daily injection for 2 years or Evenity - once a month for a year He also told me to start taking calcium and Vit D daily. Not very kind to my touchy GI. There was no mention of diet or exercise.

Told that I can’t have Zoledronic Acid.
Dear friends, I am finishing 2 years of Forsteo at the end of July. In preparation for the possibility of having ZA Infusion as follow on treatment, I have been attending dental appointments . Having been passed to the practise surgeon to have an extraction, we were both shocked to discover I may

Forsteo ending, Zoledronic acid is next.
Dear friends, Once again I’m going to ask some questions on behalf of my dear wife. If you can share your experiences or give advice, we would be most grateful. Our first question is, if you have completed a course of Teriparatide injections, how long did you wait before your next course of treatment

P1NP Blood test.
Dear friends, Saw my Rheumatologist last Monday to discuss treatment when I end Forsteo. After 15 spontaneous fractures since 2018, he’s decided to do a P1NP blood test. Hylo Forte or Carbomer Gel?
I have been using hypromellose eye drops for a while because, particularly from Spring to autumn, I have itchy, gritty, dry eyes. This year they're worse than ever making my vision very blurred and no amount of hypromellose will fix it. Last week I went to get my eyes tested, thinking the blurred vision

Looking for guidance
One endo recommended prolia, the other one wants me on either
forteo
or tymlos or evenity. I have not researched any of these meds, but evenity has a box warning that it can increase risk of death from cardiovascular problems.

A cross in the sand
Does anyone else find this explanation helpful -- ? Imagine yourself sitting on the beach and you draw a cross in the sand like an 'x'. The first stroke represents your dopamine deficiency and the second stroke you draw several times as it represents an overactive adrenal response subsequent to the HABIT

I finally decided to face my fear and go on the bone med
Forteo
. I have a total of 8 fractures. I was very surprised as my dexa scan had improved considerably. The last fractures were so bad I didn’t want to move because it was So painful. Not moving got me into all sorts of trouble.

Eye watering
I had my acoustic neuroma surgery in 2018. I have been using Hylo Forte eye drops to keep my eye moist. Surgery was performed on right side and my right eye has always been good. But from past two days that eye is constantly watering. Does anyone know why?
