Eye watering

I had my acoustic neuroma surgery in 2018. I have been using Hylo Forte eye drops to keep my eye moist. Surgery was performed on right side and my right eye has always been good. But from past two days that eye is constantly watering. Does anyone know why?

Hi Frooti, was your eye severely dry before, not even any tears before? If so it sounds a positive thing to have moisture back in your eye again and maybe your tear duct is trying to regulate things and will keep improving. I use the Hylo Forte too. I keep hoping one day i will have some change in my eye. I have no moisture in it, its been very painful. If you had the same it gives me hope too!

Hi Pinkrose, yes it was dry until now. Hospital prescribed Hylo forte because of the dryness.I never thought that this eye could be moist again. I am thinking to call GP tomorrow and get it checked just to be safe and for the peace of mind.

If mine is getting better (hopefully), I am sure yours will too. Xx

Got it checked today, doctor says eye looks normal. Asked me to wait for few days and if it doesn't stop then come back. But he didn't find anything wrong. Will wait and see xx

That sounds hopeful, glad there doesn't seem to be anything seriously wrong. Hope it settles down soon.

Hi Frooti. I've had dry eyes for many years. The last 18 mth have been the worst. I find they water terribly occassionally. I was told by the hospital optician that it is the eye trying to correct the moisture content. So maybe your eye is trying to balance itself. Hope so. Take care Lx
