upset stomach diarrhoea for a month?
Doctor has put me on
Fodmap
diet which has no gluten, wheat or dairy. I’ve done the diet for over a week now and I’ve got to be on it for 6 weeks. I’ve stuck to it. He gave me anti biotics at the beginning to rule out diviticulitis.

Has anyone read Fibre Fuelled? Does it help IBS?
I have also downloaded the
FODMAP
app by the M university, but seems like it’s only for US? Has that been of help to anyone? Anyone in the UK too? Thanks

Least 'impactful' snacks?
Beginning to head towards trying the low
FODMAP
diet to try and understand what my triggers might be (primary symptom is bad flatulence).

Does diet actually help symptoms of endometriosis?
Is it even worth eating a low
fodmap
diet with no gluten, high fat or high sugar for my symptoms or is it just a myth that it helps? Im also asking as i struggle with food so am just looking to see if it helps anyone before i venture into a new possibly restrictive way of eating.

Day four
I have been reading up on
fodmap
and found some interesting information. For anyone interested. https://www.healthline.com/nutrition/fodmaps-101 I guess really at the end of the day it is all about what works for you. I wonder how much the
fodmap
played a part this time around for me. Cheers

Low fodmap foods and seasonings
He's been trying low
fodmap
, which is fine unless you enjoy using garlic and onion to season, which we do. I'm hoping someone can suggest flavorful alternatives...

Migraine gluten link
I went on a
FODMAP
diet - which was both very strict and very bland. As I was at home and had time on my hands, I was able to concentrate on making my diet interesting and after a few months of excluding and re-introducing all my issues where proved to be very much gluten related.

Inulin pre-biotic - bowels/stomach restoration aid
There are loads of warnings with this product - won't work if you on a
FODMAP
diet and are sensitive to certain vegetables with certain sugars ( comes from chicory root), but crikey this is one of the most life changing interventions that I have undertaken since being confirmed as hypo 6 years ago.

Any advice for gastro symptoms which respond to steroids, but no diagnosis? Does normal colonoscopy cover the small bowel?
Alongside the inevitable loperamide (and
FODMAP
etc etc), I've had treatment using Bile Acid Malabsorption drugs (not tested with sehcat), and Ondansetron (assuming some fairly extreme form of IBS). This last has been great for a year, but is increasingly ineffective.

IBS - anyone with similar experience?
He recommended trying
fodmap
diet and prescribed mebeverine hydrochloride. I’m not very satisfied with my experience with the GP. I tried
fodmap
for a month or two but it was largely inconclusive and I’m not going to take the medication - I’d rather figure out and treat the cause.

IBS? but with no bowel symptoms
I have been trying to cut out foods one by one from the
FODMAP
list to see if any difference is noticeable. I do not have noticeable diarrhoea or constipation. When I have pain it varies from a grumble and low pain .. to severe where I cannot sleep or sit comfortably.

Fodmap help
The GP tells me to look at a
Fodmap
diet. I have been on a waiting list for over a year for a dietician to help with my ibs but nothing yet. I keep food journals and so know for certain some foods that trigger me, but has anyone used
fodmap
and it be successful for them?

Hello all So after years of a tummy that reacted to certain foods, being diagnosed as gluten intolerant in 2016, really suffering in 2021 and 2022, following a

diet recommended by my doctor (don’t recommend) and getting to a point where I only ate the same plain things everyday, I finally paid

change in IBS symptoms
Also low
fodmap
. But didn’t stop the diarrhoea completely. Over the last few months I’ve been trying prebiotics and probiotics not helped a great deal either. The last lot I tried I took for three months they seemed to help a bit but not massively.

Expiry dates and oxalates
Then the oxalate conversation popped into my head because …I did a
FODMAP
exercise a couple of years ago and worked out that high oxalate foods particularly greens were giving me urinary symptoms like cystitis keeping me awake at night.
