Anyone else with op trying to manage their IBS\food intolerances when trying to eat more calcium rich foods
When a doctor referred to a dietitian years ago to advise me on the low
fodmap
diet to help me cope with my IBS, he said that I should have a calcium supplement, as I wouldn't be having any dairy.

Low Fodmap Diet
For those of you that haven't tried it, I know it works for 75% of people, then I'd highly recommend it, there are lots of recipes online and some very good Low
Fodmap
cook books.

Low FODMAP diet app.
He mentioned about the
FODMAP
diet, I returned recently to Vietnam and downloaded the Monash
FODMAP
diet app, cost for the app was £7.99, I’ve been on it for a week now, and at first I had two bouts of mild diarrhoea (number 6 on the Bristol stool chart), today my stool was number 3, a normal stool,

Are raspberries low FODMAP?
I have banana on top and sometimes honey which I'm aware is fine for low
fodmap
but yesterday I googled raspberries and apparently 10 are fine. I had around 9 and felt fine all day but 24 hrs later I had a bit of loose stool as if I'd been eating fructose.

IBS problems
I’m on the
FODMAP
diet which isn’t making a difference. I have been stressed lately and I’m on sertraline for depression. Could it be the start of chrons? Also my poo are looking okay. I drink plenty of water and do yoga, I’m 40 years old and this is starting to get me down now. Please help x

Spirulina Powder
I bought some of the above earlier this week, I thought as I'm following the Low
Fodmap
diet for IBS it would be good to take some supplementation. My verdict, it tastes disgusting but I will finish it as I know it'll do me some good. It's kind of hold your nose and drink it fast.🤣

Given up a bit...
I have been on
FODMAP
for 3 years, as my recovery from my operation was going well I decided to try some reintroduction. To my amazement I have been fine apart from some gas! so I can now eat wheat/Gluten, garlic and chickpeas! This is great but also not so great.

Do I actually have ibs??
She gave me a printout of the
fodmap
diet and that was that. She said she could refer me to hospital but since my tests have come back fine with no signs of inflammation they'll basically decline my referral. I'm so gutted. I live in NZ and the health system isnt too great.

Actually been having a good week! Diet is important!
s have miss diagnosed me with i.b.s. instead of celiac which would be great because on my
fodmap
diet, pit was extremely limiting especially in a town of 6000 people(not much variety for food). Just wanted to share the import roll diet can play!

Fodmap dietician
I am thinking of embarking on the Low
fodmap
diet in the new year to help with my IBS symptoms. Can i do it myself or do i really need a trained dietitian to help me?

Last year I tried a
fodmap
diet but didn’t really find much difference when I cut things out of my diet. Does anyone have any suggestions for how to break this cycle?

Senocalm - does it work for you?
Been following
FODMAP
but that’s not long term sustainable. Just looking for advice for over the counter remedies really to stop myself going mad when I have an attack!

What about antibacterial qualities of onion and garlic in low fodmap diet?
As I understand it, the aim of low
fodmap
is to inhibit bad bacteria but depriving them of nutrition. Onion and garlic are to be avoided as they have nutrients that are supposed to be good for the bad bacteria. But what about the antibacterial qualities of onion and garlic?

What to eat for bowel movements?
In the meantime I’m actually going against the
FODMAP
diet, as I need to get bowel movements (BM). What should I be eating in order to get BM?

He has finally diagnosed it as “constipated IBS” and he has advised that I look at
