Flecainide
is a heavy duty drug for sure. My cardio says it works on the Central Nervous System. When you take a medicine it stays in your body for a certain period of time.

Need reassurance
Had ablation 25th April, at present still on 150 mg of
Flecainide
, will have to stop them before seeing cardiologist in Sept. All fine during the day, however during the night getting palpitations. They only last a very short time and then disappear during the day! Anyone know why or has had these?

well I did it!!
Very sore inside my chest but to be expected, EP is 99% it was successful, A little concerned I have been told to stop my bisoprolol 2.5 and also my 50mg twice daily
Flecainide
. My current pulse rate is around 58/60 NSR, here's hoping my PAF doesn't kick in.

Flecainide and Tinnitus
After taking
Flecainide
for 12 months I have tinnitus. Which I understand can be a side effect of this drug. Has anybody experienced tinnitus while taking
Flecainide
and did it stop if/when you discontinued the drug? Thanks Kfib

What next, if anything?
Does anyone have any recommendations as what might be the next course of action after 6 cardioversions, an ablation,
flecainide
, tikosyn...and nothing works. I'm in afib all the time and just getting darn tired, literally and figuratively. I've tried taurine (which actually helped for awhile!)

Status report -- 2 weeks post cryoablation
I've been instructed to continue taking an anti-arrhythmic (
flecainide
50 mg B.I.D.) for the first 2 months (then stop), and at the 3 month point I'll be having a follow-up visit with the EP folks.

Stopped Pills - Heart went back to sinus rhythm
Well it didn't and after 8 months I thought to myself, why am I taking
Flecainide
and Metoprolol if it's not stopping my AF? On the 23rd June I made a decision to stop these pills.

I’m 3 week’s post ablation - for Flutter and Fibrillation- flutter hasn’t returned but I’m on
flecainide
100mg twice a day for the fibrillation. Hope that’s only short term. Loving the Kardia - particularly on the Apple Watch! 🌻

Tremors
I have svt and I'm on
Flecainide
100mgx2. It started when I was put on
Flecainide
, but my Dr says it's not the cause. It's just random tremors. Yesterday I had it twice and it was really shaking. Any input and advice is greatly appreciated.

2.5 weeks after ablation
I’m on
flecainide
100mg twice a day and Apixaban twice a day. Still taking lansoprazole for another 2 weeks post op. I’ve now developed a new symptom over the last few days and just wonder if anyone has encountered this before.

Another ablation?
I have had 2 unsuccessful catheter ablations for PVCs and bigeminy which are non life threatening but difficult to live with - currently back on
flecainide
2x50mg - my cardiologist is now talking of possible epicardially approach using RMT stereotaxis ??? Anyone have experience of this ?

Persistent eptopics after AF attack.
My meds are
flecainide
x 2 50mg and bisoprolol 7.5mg. Any thoughts or suggestions are warmly welcome. Oh yes my appetite has completely disappeared too, my better half thinks its anxiety related...another great day 🙄

Palpitations galore
Hi all, after a couple of hours AF yesterday which reverted back to sinus rythum (thanks to the
flecainide
probably) today I have had no AF but have had a constant stream of palpitations about every 20 normal beats the bump bump arrives.... not had this before so was wondering if anyone else has?

Hair loss
Meds are I.25 Bisop,
flecainide
as a pip, and Edoxopan every day. I have been on Bisop for a year and the others for 4 months. I have lost 50% of my hair - it feels like it was sudden enough as I have only noticed in the last 6 weeks.

Situs inversus.
So he put me on to 200mg of
flecainide
a day which was previously 100mg per day. Spoke later to cardiologist and he made appointment for August to discuss situation. The first time I met cardiologist he suggested ablation but didn't explain the risks as all my organs are mirror image.
