Hi all, after a couple of hours AF yesterday which reverted back to sinus rythum (thanks to the flecainide probably) today I have had no AF but have had a constant stream of palpitations about every 20 normal beats the bump bump arrives.... not had this before so was wondering if anyone else has? My pulse is slow at 56 but its been that for years due to the Bisoprolol...Thanks in advance..... Dave.
Palpitations galore: Hi all, after a... - Atrial Fibrillati...
Palpitations galore
Very difficult to say and I wouldn’t know without an ECG but it could be ectopics which can feel like a skipped beat which is often followed by a few fast beats - at least that was my experience. Ectopics often exceed or follow a bout of AF - and can often make me feel as bad and sometimes worse than the AF.
Have you got a Kardia to take a trace? Ectopics Show up as a V instead of a the usual QRS peak.
I am in NSR and some days experience exactly what you describe.
I do put it down to Ectopics.
Probably nothing too much to worry about but all the same it is horrible and certainly unnerves me.
Not a lot can be done but some say deep slow breaths in and out help.
Pete
