Had ablation 25th April, at present still on 150 mg of Flecainide, will have to stop them before seeing cardiologist in Sept. All fine during the day, however during the night getting palpitations. They only last a very short time and then disappear during the day! Anyone know why or has had these?

Need reassurance
It takes three to six months for the heart to fully heal so this is not uncommon. Many people still report improvements sup to nin months after ablation. Few doctors seem to understand this and under sell recovery,.
I'm having palpitations 15 months after ablation. sometimes i feel 1 or two a day, other days (like today) I am feeling them all the time. I've checked on my Kardia and it says that they are just ectopics and not AF.
Unfortunately i think us AFers just feel them more.
My EP said it will be part of life, heart is trying to get back in to AF (the heart would love to be in this state apparently) but it cant (at least for now
And as Bob says, it's early days
I had an ablation Feb. 28 and I have had palpitations on and off ever since. They never go too high (up to about 95 bpm) or last too long (mostly under 5 minutes). I got them frequently for the first month after the ablation and again recently in hot weather. My cardiologist was unconcerned and basically said "get used to it."
Thanks for above replies. As very new to this site is been such a help, making me realise I’m not alone!
Another question!
I am in the process of trying to cut my medication down before returning to see the cardiologist following my first ablation at the end of May. I am now just taking 2 x 50 mg of Flecainide a day. He recently gave me Dilitazem 60mg to be taken twice a day. As I’m trying to cut my meds, as yet I h ave not taken this. The point being I’m coping well with the Flec, why introduce another medication which in the near future I will need to stop,
Any ideas/ help will be very much welcomed.
I’m confused!
