On for a rant
On IV, ask if I should just take my
Flecainide
(prescribed by a brilliant EP, take twice daily, can go up to 250g if in PAF etc.) Oh we are transferring you to the halfway house, they’ll sort it out. Gets there, now in Afib 5 hours.

Medication query
I am currently taking 2.5mg of Bisoprolol and have been advised to start
Flecainide
as a PIP. The first dose needs to be administered in A&E. Should I stop the Bisoprolol, as they need to administered Flecainade when I am in AF?

Can’t get a breath
I have a very slow pulse (45 bpm resting) and am on
flecainide
50 Mgs and bisoprolol 1.25 . My cardiologist is aware of the slow pulse and does not seem concerned but I am wondering if this feeling comes from my pulse being so slow.

Mind games
After about 10 minutes I knew the AF wasn’t going to terminate quickly so I took 200Mg of
Flecainide
and 1.25Mg of Bisoprilol. For four hours I had all the ‘will it won’t it stop’ feelings and thoughts. As a result my blood pressure rose to 170/120 and all the mind games started up again.

Flecainide problem
Cardiologist agreed it was the
Flecainide
so stopped that, had 2 episodes a day for next 2 days, self correcting each time 3 6 hrs, ..... So now back at home, just on Bisoporol again, upped to 3.75mg daily, AF free now for 3 weeks. So hopefully back to the previous normal.

Oh no!
Have decided not to take
Flecainide
replacement but to let myself slip into permanent AF. Hope nothing falls off while I’m waiting. Di

Flecainide
My cardiologist wanted me to have a CT scan before giving me
Flecainide
. Just spoken to her secretary and found out that she does not want me to have it. I don’t know why. Have to wait for letter to GP to find out. Any ideas. Feeling a bit anxious.

Low estrogen, AFib, & Maca
Even that was interesting in that the episode was much more tolerable and the Maca seemed to help me pop back to normal after the
Flecainide
brought me back to NSR. The Flec seems to work more quickly, too, and the micronutrients I've been taking have been helping.

Help
I was on Bisoprolol and
Flecainide
from when I had a cardioversion about 14 months ago, then was told I needed an ablation although I felt great on the meds. Since the ablation last March I was told to cut down and come off both the bisoprolol and
flecainide
.

Switching from Sotalol to Flecainide and Digoxin
I will have to get back tonSt Barts to find out what dose of
flecainide
I should take. Probabaly it’s one 50mg tablet per day. My 72 hour holter test came back ok- some ectopics but no AF during the night.

A blip.....I hope!
I took 300 mgs of
Flecainide
and within an hour, all was well. I did have a couple of glasses of wine with dinner (in Portugal, don’t drink at home) which has not been a problem in the past but will not be repeated. Can’t think of anything else which may have caused the episode.

Dirty Meds?
I am taking
Flecainide
as a pill in the pocket treatment for P A/F.It works well for me and so far I have managed to avoid surgical resorts such as ablation, etc. My question is this, why is
Flecainide
often referred to as "a Dirty Medication"?

Flecainide for ectopics
I take flec as a pill in the pocket but wondered if taking it daily (apart from preventing afib) also stops ectopics. Thanks for your help. I find this site a wonderful place for information and support.

PAF with Low Heart Rate ??
In the past I've had occasional lone PAF episodes with heart rate up to over 200 and intense, nasty symptoms - I just take Bisoprolol and
Flecainide
as PIPs which work well. And my resting heart rate is usually 52-60.

Decision to make!
He said I could try a couple of different medications (I had
flecainide
for a long time but stopped it a few months after my second ablation, it had never worked for me anyway!)

Ablation booked!!!!!
He had discovered that I had a firm diagnosis with ecg reading, of PSVT and PAF over 15 years ago but was pretty much left too it after being started on
flecainide
. He had really worked hard trying to pull together as much information about me as possible.

Extreme fluctuating pulse, all tests normal. Ablation done 2 years ago.
The only thing that does somewhat control it is the following concoction of drugs - 5 mg Bisoprolol x1, plus 50 mg
Flecainide
x 2 per day, although this makes me feel tired and also induces the occasional fluttering in my chest. I currently don't take any medication, but this is driving me insane.

Thyroid head?
I am also on 50mg
Flecainide
and 1.25 Bisoprolol. T4 alone did not work for me and I had debilitating syptoms. I am left with a blown up head, worse in mornings. I do get energy swings but I am guessing that is the condition we live with!
