Oh no!

My 13/2 appointment with EP which was put back to 20/3 has now been moved to 1/5!! Woe is me. Have decided not to take Flecainide replacement but to let myself slip into permanent AF. Hope nothing falls off while I’m waiting.

When this kind of thing happens to me my brain starts 'whirring'.....what can I do? So ....if something falls off you can go immediately to A and E.....even if the situation is not too dire. You could also ask the EP's sec. once a week if anyone has cancelled...or...put yourself on a cancellation list. Some hospitals and dep.ts. have them and some not.It is worth a try. My husband just did this with a hospital dental appointment. Was going have to wait 4 months and filled a cancellation spot in 3 days. i did it with an echo. appoint. You could just keep 'worrying' the department. that is to say 'I really do not feel well' or' i am very worried'. You could try just going to the department if it is not too far away and asking if there is a cancellation on that day.

I never have any luck and can sometimes feel as though I am stalking the waiting list staff. 😏

To be honest, I think that's a bit much of your EP to keep postponing the appointment dates you've been given. If I was keen to see him I'd be fuming! If they have to cancel a date then they should not expect you to wait months for another one. Think it's an absolute cheek!

Needed to see him before an urology appointment next week as they won’t operate without his say-so. Have decided to see cardiologist privately so at least urology can go ahead.

good decision if annoying.Your hand is being forced by circumstances when this is 'not your fault'.But you somehow need to go forward or at least that is how I would be feeling.

Is this same cardiologist you should be seeing re appointment ? If so I’d let him know the awkwardness re changes ...hope all goes well for you next week...Cx

No, that was EP. This is the cardiologist who sent me to him. Hope your pm settling.
