A blip.....I hope!

I had my second ablation just over 6 months ago and apart from a few short runs of fast but regular heart beats and the occasional ectopic, all has been well. However, this morning I woke early in AF confirmed by my Kardia. I took 300 mgs of Flecainide and within an hour, all was well. I did have a couple of glasses of wine with dinner (in Portugal, don’t drink at home) which has not been a problem in the past but will not be repeated. Can’t think of anything else which may have caused the episode. Due to see my EP in 3 weeks. Fingers well and truly crossed that it was just a blip!

Well I think it's all the holidays you're having (and the booze), we can't cope with too much excitement as we grow older. Lol.

Sorry to hear this, because going to Portugal and drinking no wine doesn't seem right.

Try Iceland instead. Amazing at this time of year. One feels one is splashing out on a cup of tea!

White wine has more sulphides than red, Flapjack. Hopefully, just a wee warning.

Hoping so too Brenda, the hotel tells me that it has a supply of alcohol free plonk so looking forward to dinner tonight 😩
