How many ectopics is too many
I was diagnosed with AF in 2007 but had ectopic beats for years before that and still have them now even though my AF is controlled by
Flecainide
and Bisoprolol . I have an active job and during the day don't always notice the ectopic beats but once I relax they come on with a vengeance.

Is it common to continue on Flecainide after ablation?
i've been on
Flecainide
50 mg 3x day for the past 4 months and a few days ago had ablation for Afib and atrial flutter. Was prescribed to stay on
Flecainide
50mg 2xday until my follow up appointment with EP in May.

Something new happening
I contacted my cardiologist office after one bad episode and they said to take my PIP
Flecainide
which I did one time. I'm so disappointed with this new issue, I know nothing about aflutter or what causes it or what to do about it.

Flecanide and effects
In a study of people who had experienced heart attacks within the past 2 years, people who took
flecainide
were more likely to have another heart attack or to die than people who did not take
flecainide

Home after ablation
Started my
flecainide
again (50mg twice a day - had stopped 5 days before). Carrying on with apixiban 5mg also twice a day. Stop them in 2- 3 months to see how I go. I started the apixiban in prep for ablation - wasn't on it before.

Plus & Minus, node ablation?
I am female, age 76 and am still on meds, bisoprolol and
flecainide
. The actual ablation doesn’t worry me near as much as the MINUSES of this decision. Any insight on this would be helpfull. I read the posts on here every day and it helps me a lot.

An experiment!
I was reaching for the
Flecainide
as soon as I had the wobbles, terrified that i was going to go into AF at any moment.

Reducing Bisoprolol Dosage Post Ablation.
I have been taking Bisoprolol and
flecainide
since 2013 and unlike many people on here bisoprolol doesn't affect me at all regards tiredness or headaches ect, it has been great for keeping my ticker in check.

Ectopics or Atrial fibrillation (?)
Medications via Cardiologist: Vasocardol (calcium blocker) and
Flecainide
50mg to 75mg 2X a day. (I tried beta blocker Metoprolol but found it to be incredibly sedative so we swapped to a calcium channel blocker which has helped to allow me have higher energy levels).

On for a rant
On IV, ask if I should just take my
Flecainide
(prescribed by a brilliant EP, take twice daily, can go up to 250g if in PAF etc.) Oh we are transferring you to the halfway house, they’ll sort it out. Gets there, now in Afib 5 hours.

Medication query
I am currently taking 2.5mg of Bisoprolol and have been advised to start
Flecainide
as a PIP. The first dose needs to be administered in A&E. Should I stop the Bisoprolol, as they need to administered Flecainade when I am in AF?

Can’t get a breath
I have a very slow pulse (45 bpm resting) and am on
flecainide
50 Mgs and bisoprolol 1.25 . My cardiologist is aware of the slow pulse and does not seem concerned but I am wondering if this feeling comes from my pulse being so slow.

Mind games
After about 10 minutes I knew the AF wasn’t going to terminate quickly so I took 200Mg of
Flecainide
and 1.25Mg of Bisoprilol. For four hours I had all the ‘will it won’t it stop’ feelings and thoughts. As a result my blood pressure rose to 170/120 and all the mind games started up again.

Flecainide problem
Cardiologist agreed it was the
Flecainide
so stopped that, had 2 episodes a day for next 2 days, self correcting each time 3 6 hrs, ..... So now back at home, just on Bisoporol again, upped to 3.75mg daily, AF free now for 3 weeks. So hopefully back to the previous normal.

Have decided not to take

Flecainide
My cardiologist wanted me to have a CT scan before giving me
Flecainide
. Just spoken to her secretary and found out that she does not want me to have it. I don’t know why. Have to wait for letter to GP to find out. Any ideas. Feeling a bit anxious.

Low estrogen, AFib, & Maca
Even that was interesting in that the episode was much more tolerable and the Maca seemed to help me pop back to normal after the
Flecainide
brought me back to NSR. The Flec seems to work more quickly, too, and the micronutrients I've been taking have been helping.
