Hi, I had my NHS 40th free health check at the end of October and my ALT was 63. Due to this they retested me within 3 months, at the end of January It was 58 (I had minimal alcohol in these 3 months, went to the gym and healthy eating) due to it being high again I had another test 3 weeks later when my ALT was 84, so despite healthy eating, lack of alcohol and exercise it had gone up even higher! My AST and all other liver blood tests were all normal. Bone blood test normal, Ferritin levels normal and FBC normal. I now have to go for a liver ultrasound on Monday coming, has anyone else ever had this before? Ive lost 21 pounds since October through healthy eating so I am confused why my ALT has gone up rather than down again? I should say my chloestrol results in October (they havent been tested again) were showing ratio of 6:3 and triglycerides were 5.9 yet doctor marked all this as normal?? Thanks

I have similar case & find interesting that is there is no way to check why this is happening & why some people don't lose weight. There should have been a list of metabolic testing at this stage of science & technology like Genetics hormones (not just insulin) or other factors of digesting system etc. that isn't working well instead of regardless people do to for healthy weight medical & health prectinors tend to have an attuited you didn't try which is wrong. they should be opening more options of testing to see what isn't working well
