First time ever experiencing anxiety while quitting smoking...
Hi I just quit smoking 2 weeks ago & have been having bad anxiety attacks at night, during the day I feel fine, but as soon as I start to doze off I awake with a flushing sensation, racing heart (anxiety?). At first I thought it was from nicotine patches, tried sleeping without but kept happening. A

Tolerable pain, horrible brain
Hi all, this is my second post. I think this forum is amazing, not only for people with diagnosed conditions but also undiagnosed worriers like me. I recognise my worries pale in comparison to those with confirmed problems and my heart goes out to those coping with liver conditions. I have been in

Hope for slowing or halting PD: 5 repurposed drugs that are in clinical trials that show very strong promise
There are 5 Repurposed drugs currently being trialed and 2 (Israpidine and Inosine) are in Phase III. Those involved in a trial, or involved outside of a trial, can offer valuable feedback- Israpidine, used to control high blood pressure with a calcium channel blocker, can cross the blood brain barrier

I thought it was getting better 😔 😢
Hi ladies, So, I was diagnosed with endo roughly 12 years ago after the birth of my first child and further diagnosed with adeno via MRI approx 4 years ago after my youngest. I've tried various treatments etc etc and have stuck with the Evra patch on and off for the past 4ish years as I've found it

Hi all. I can't believe I hit the one month mark here on Saturday. Who would have ever thought I would have done it? I certainty didn't. How do you change a habit of twelve years? A lot easier than I thought. Once I got past the initial couple of weeks the rest seemed to fall Into place. I still have

Been to see COPD nurse for first time.
Well I got good news, if you can say that. I'm only 1st stage, caught it early. Had my pneumonia injection. Been referred for PR, which I wanted. Had a heavy, physical day today, sorting out clothes bank that I run in the local community. Picked up my nicotine patches. Going to chill now. Hope I find

Hello, I am 22 years old (just) and I have had suspected endo for just over a year now - I am due to have laparoscopy on 16th december so only a few more weeks to go. I thought that knowing my luck - as soon as I'd sign myself up for the laproscopy my symptoms would disappear and i'd (once again) go

Week5/Run3 - 20 mins
I don't know why but I'm feeling rather deflated after having completed this run. Â I thought I'd be over the moon like I was when I did the 8 mins run (twice). Â It maybe due to lack of sleep and stopping the nicotine patches today. Â Looking forward to a day off and starting Week 6 on Sunday. Hope everybody

Nicotine & benefits in gastrointestinal tract
Hi all, I was first diagnosed with ulcerative colitis in 2007 & this was later changed to a diagnosis of Crohn's in more recent times. I am also now going through the process of diagnosis of what is believed to be GPA\Wegeners. I also have 2 discs that are degenerating so we have 3 chronic diseasesÂ
