Look after yourself!
Hi everyone, as you will know from previous posts, my hubby has decompensated liver and is still drinking, with an "If I die, I die" attitude. So today saw me at the GP for myself (felt a bit self indulgent tbh) and I've got low haemoglobin, low vitamin levels, possibly due to Covid a couple of months

Unsure how to proceed
so first , I’m in the US not UK so every single little thing medical is $$$. I’ve had pain in the liver area off and on honestly about 3 years now . More towards the back and it’s not really pain as much as heaviness feeling or fullness idk if that makes sense. The last few months seems like it’s getting

Listed but improving UKELD
This is a bit of a strange one. Partner has decompensated cirrhosis, listed about 4 weeks ago. We cried with relief when he was listed - he has been so poorly and had a heart scare (that turned out to be nothing when investigated) so were SO SO grateful to be listed. However UKELD has improved slowly

So after my fatty liver issue my dad decided to get his tested
The strangest thing is he doesn’t have
fatty
liver
, no NASH, all his levels are ok except he has 0.49 Fibrosis. This test was done with blood work only. What does this mean, is it just an old Fibrosis? I’m not sure what to recommend him for a diet since he’s already about 30 pounds lighter than me.

Terrible sleep - What do I need cortisol, liver, adrenals, perimenopause testing- all of them? Any advice please?
Hi All I'm having a bit of a crash at the moment and having to cancel so many social events, which is frankly quite depressing! I need a bit of help and am wondering if some kind soul might advice me. I've been doing lots of trawling and it is quite a minefield working out what we need given that the

After my first ultrasound scan in April 2020 showing severe
fatty
liver
it has been a long wait to find out if my liver has improved. I followed the liver friendly/Mediterranean diet, cut out all alcohol, drank several coffees a day and exercised a bit more.

compensated cirrhosis
I know I’m the past year I’ve had lots of questions and concerns with the possibility of liver disease/cirrhosis. And this group has been very helpful. I’ve had multiple ultrasounds in the past few years. Some noting a minimally heterogeneous liver and the latest two note a normal appearing liver. I’
